BYU won at Kansas. What was more impressive was they had to earn it. Bill Self has a good defense gameplan with all of the switches and overplays. Mark Pope adjusted in the 2nd half by going to more middle screen and roll. They start this possession with a weave just as eye candy to move the defense. Like pre-snap motion in football. The goal is to get to the pick and roll. Once it is set Jaxson Robinson does a great job just going toward Hunter Dickinson to force the switch. BYU runs a lot of replace with the ball screen which means a corner fills up to the wing. The ball will go there for the post feed. Traore was a load inside for BYU in this game. When he pivots he sees where the double is coming from. It’s coming from Noah Waterman’s man in the corner. Traore finds him and delivers for the easy three.
