Clemson is a 'pretender' program and always has been. Think of themselves as a national power but aren't really. Now, they ARE well-ahead of UL, which is the great pretender, as The Platters once said.

Clemson has to be the worst coached team in the country. They should have won this game easily. It was as though they gave about 75% effort for most of the night

Dabo was the WR coach and recruiting coordinator for CU, I am not sure if he was ever the OC for him. When Bowden was fired, Dabo was hired and wasn't good the first year or two, he went out and hire 2 top coordinators, one worked out, the other gave up 70 in a BCS game and was fried and brought Brent Veneribles in who has done much better. They still haven't done much against FSU, but in the top 3 ACC teams for certain.

The OC left to take a head coaching job at one of the Texas schools this year SMU I think. Watson is the all time passing leader in Georgia for yards, completions and TDs

They won a road conference game on short rest starting a freshman at LT and C and playing their third string RG... I wouldn't rag on him too hard. Hell, if you want to rag on a coach in that game, I would look at the guy on the other sideline...

They were missing a bunch of starters.

Good point, Clemson always seems to have a top 5-10 recruiting class. They were short handed tonight, and remember they whipped Ohio State in the Orange Bowl in 2013, and destroyed Oklahoma in their bowl game last year !
