Man, I just don't get them. They have damn near the talent level of Alabama or Georgia but they look mediocre. All those 5 star players keep going there and I don't understand why. What has Clemson done of significance lately?

Has any team done less with more talent? Clemson plays in the ACC. The only team that can match them in talent is FSU. Am I crazy?

Clemson is overrated and that's some bad coaching.

The way they talked about Watson I thought he was a Heisman type player. Not even close.

Clemson has to be the worst coached team in the country. They should have won this game easily. It was as though they gave about 75% effort for most of the night

Dabo Swinney is the football equivalent to Rick Barnes at Texas. He does less with more than any other football coach in the nation. With the talent they have year in and year out, they should be competing for a spot in the playoffs every year. They had what, seven players drafted this past draft? You would think Clemson fans would be running him out of town.

The_Oak, I totally agree. Give Steve Spurrier that kind of talent and he'd do wonders. Why are those kids choosing to go to Clemson over USC? They gotta be recruiting the same kids. Dabo Sweeny is Rick Barnes, Les Miles, Bill Self, and Rick Pitino rolled into one.

I could be wrong but doesn't Clemson recruit top 10 every year? How in the world can they be that bad?

I wouldn't compare Miles, Self and Pitino to Dabo, they have all won national championships whereas Dabo hasn't done anything of note. Dabo is a hell of a recruiter, if I'm not mistaken he was the one pulling in all the talent there when Bowden was coaching them and Dabo was the OC. They always have a top 15 class, I think they even had a top 5 class last year if I'm not mistaken. They're that bad because of Dabo, he is a horrible head coach, but a great recruiter.

They won a road conference game on short rest starting a freshman at LT and C and playing their third string RG... I wouldn't rag on him too hard. Hell, if you want to rag on a coach in that game, I would look at the guy on the other sideline...

I think the bottom line is that Clemson players are spoiled. Their alums and fans over love them. They simply are not hungry... and their QB is a joke. Most of them are going to school there for the rent free weekends at Cherry Point with 5 C-notes tucked in the kitchen table fruit bowl. "You kids have a nice weekend!"

I wouldn't say Watson is a joke. He made some bad decisions last night but the kid has talent. He's a couple years away though.
