CI Wrestling Thread #56

Ya the one I saw was about the guy running it and schemed everyone out of money in the end - I think it was the espn one.

Was the Netflix one better?

Dynamite 600k
Collision 400k

Not sure if that’s a typical number for collision but a 4 hour show on a Wednesday is a tough watch!

It was up against the Finals.

I haven’t finished my 4 hours of AEW at once this week, but if last week is an indicator, the Collision part, especially the last hour, was pretty meh, likely because they knew very few people will still be watching at midnight.

Very true. Heck, I still haven’t gotten through the main event yet and it is two days later.

Smackdown for tonight...on paper it looks pretty good.

WWE Champion John Cena to appear.
Queen of the Ring tournament: Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green vs. Candice LeRae.
King of the Ring tournament: Randy Orton vs. LA Knight vs. Aleister Black vs. Carmelo Hayes.
King of the Ring tournament: Cody Rhodes vs. Damian Priest vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Andrade.
Naomi to appear.
WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu to appear.

Triple H reportedly made the call to have Jey Uso lose the World Heavyweight Championship as he wanted Gunther vs Goldberg to be for the title.

The match is set to take place at Saturday Night's Main Event and will go head to head with AEW All In.

So Kurt Angle jobs to Baron Corbin in his retirement match and Goldberg goes out with a title match. Would kind of be cool if he won on his way out and retired with the belt. They could do a tournament for a new champion. They haven't done that for 3 or 4 years.

I think hhh would have handled angle’s retirement different that or they hadn’t given up on baron Corbin yet at that time.

Vince also had theory win mitb and beat cena.

Speaking of cena that was a long opening segment but at least we got more r truth!

- Thought that was a good SD the other night. I occasionally follow a reddit show thread and they loved Cena's blue and white gear and a lot of people were like, "damn, Lexington is getting all the stars tonight." One of my friends and her friend ordered the Lex shirt during the show.

- Private Party doesn't do much for me but NXT needs the talent. The Hurt Business in AEW is an overall positive but one thing Cornette always said was wait until someone like a Lashley gets to AEW and see how he looks next to their roster. They crushed the tag division in no time and there's very few there who can realistically beat them.

- All In crossed the 20,000 ticket mark. My og prediction was 24,000. TK might give tickets away towards the end to get 25K if they're close. That's nowhere near past All In's but still a solid number.
