That whole match was a cluster f. The botched finish was the icing on the cake.
I still don’t understand TK’s penchant for letting women who are clearly very green have hardcore matches. Maybe get the basics down before bringing out the furniture.
That was rough, as was the Fletcher/Cole thing. Unless it's involving Willow or maybe Statlander the who "women's hardcore match needs to just go away.
On a positive note thought the beginning and end segments were good.
Some ratings news, Saturday Night's Main Event did almost 2 million viewers up over 500,000 from the last one.

Heck ya if only the college kids could afford the tickets but it’s a cool idea - I guess the visiting opponents parents would give them something to do on a Friday night.
It always amuses me how Cody whines that he doesn’t get 100% of the credit for starting up AEW.
Yeah that was pretty horrendous.
Fletcher rarely botches though and is a generally safe wrestler despite wrestling a very aggressive and stiff style.

Hardcore matches requires less skill than a regular match. Why do you think half of the ECW roster was composed of people that didn’t do much more than hardcore matches? Because they were talentless hacks that couldn’t wrestle their way out of a wet paper bag like Dreamer, Sandman, New Jack, etc.
That party they talked about hosting at a local watering hole was actually a shoot story too lol
These guys touch on what I’ve said about the counter programming and expand on the topic more. And these guys prefer WWE over AEW, though they admit themselves they barely tolerate NXT these days
I do find it funny though that WWE is too chicken shit to put one of their main roster PLEs up against an AEW PPV, just always NXT or Saturday Night’s House Show.

It’s always good to have jobbers fans care about to keep it interesting - look at guys like Barry Horowitz and recently the outrunners. Gotta give something for the fans to care about even a perennial loser.
I used to buy them. Then bought a house. There went my $60 a month to watch wrestling budget.
If they offered it for $10 a month, I’d probably still buy them because traditional PPV model has long been dead.

It's as if this was the plan.
She's an interesting one. Was involved in one long successful storyline, won the title, had a lackluster reign, lost the title, then went on "vacation." Main roster ready but WWE just called up Giulia, Roxanne, Grace, and Vaquer. I assume she's NXT bound, immediately becomes *the woman* there, makes occasional appearances as NXT champ on main roster, and gets a big spot in next year's Rumble.

To be fair outside of Toni most of the former AEW women’s champions have been in that same boat just kinda like TK finding a new shiny toy and putting them in title matches - most recently Megan bayne and Mina and probably tekla soon.
Thought the number for tonight was impressive. SNME also did nearly two million viewers not including Peacock. Storyline wise WWE has cooled off a bit but despite online negativity and ticket costs, WWE is still pretty hot.

Looking forward to Je’von Evans getting called up in a couple years - fans looked like they responded pretty well to him tonight.
Zelina Vega is plum awful. It's like rewinding back to the Divas era. I could get a better reaction going out and picking blueberries. And I wouldn't break someone's nose while doing it.
