Caught the first hour last night. Meh. Cage looks like a beast but has the whole 'clearly this individual loves steroids' thing going on which I've always thought was gross looking. MJF and JJ could put on a solid match but I just don't know why any of that is happening. Best guess is everyone loved Sting and Danielson's last ride so Tony thinks he's the retirement storyline king.
I see AEW as New Generation WWF. I can't remember how many older wrestlers were still heavily involved then but there's a large core of "these guys are the future of AEW" and so much time is being devoted to elders and ex-WWE guys they were okay with losing. And The Rock 'n' Roll Express should not be involved in angles in 2025.

I already spent enough for Billy Joel and Sting the next weekend at the same place.
Yes I’d really like to see that as well. But I would prefer Sting stick to police songs
- End the Callis Family, have him manage one guy, and be less cartoonish.
- Less old wrestlers featured.
- Top guys: Hangman, Swerve, Ospreay, Fletcher, MJF, Omega, Hobbs. Joe. That's the list. Next guy up would be Takeshita.
- Push Brody/Buddy to the moon while building the tag division around them, Lashley/Benjamin, White/Robinson, FTR, Copeland/Cage, Bucks, Outrunners.
- End trios division and scrap those titles.
- Mox is a ratings killer and his ideas suck. Move him to the midcard and make him a loner. His factions are terrible. Let him build up a lesser title like Cena did the US title.

Don’t know if I’d call Moxley a ratings killer. You got to look at the numbers and not what your opinion or what the dumbass IWC is saying.
Ratings have gone up this month with him as champ, and that’s not including any Max viewership, which is allegedly doing well.
The two PPVs with him as champ had better buy rates than the two PPVs with Danielson as champ.
And Moxley/Death Riders YouTube clips are consistently the best performing YouTube clips for AEW.
If he was a ratings killer, all that wouldn’t be happening.
Callis himself is cartoonish. He's always laughing like a cartoon villain while practically rubbing his palms together. Tone it down and manage one guy, namely Takeshita or Fletcher. And when Ospreay returned for good, they had him back in the Callis Family...even though he's a born face.
PWInsider mentioned Max numbers have been included from the start, which is likely why the overall numbers have been a little better recently. A lot of fans seem fatigued by Mox which isn't good considering he returned a few months ago. He's always in a faction that's lame, always rambling about nothing like a Wyatt, and is what, a 4x champ in a five year old company? It's too much imo. Even company man John Cena eventually took a step back.
Nielsen isn’t contracted with Max for streaming ratings of individual programs so that’s impossible. And Nielsen measuring individual programs on streaming is pretty rare to begin with.
And Fightful says in their ratings articles that viewership numbers for Max are not reported

I agree with this. I'm good to not see Mox or Jericho again for a year if not longer.
This Death Riders thing is not hitting with me, and nobody over there seemed to have a problem with Mox getting the Charlotte Flair treatment of showing back up and isntantlly reclaiming the world title. Unless AEW is muting their crowd mics, the Death Riders don't get much of a reaction from the fans. (I haven't watched this week's Dynamite yet, so this statement could be incorrect this week for all I know.)
I don’t like it at all either. Story is stupid and the matches are slop because of the interference. Except Yuta singles matches, they seem fine to just let him get his ass beat with no help 😂

The problem with death riders and callis group is no one has any charisma it’s just putting people in a group - dx worked bc it was cool and nod was a means to move toward rock being a star.

Well they teased it before he too turned on Bryan Danielson. He's been pretty firmly in with the Death Riders ever since with no hints/teases of him leaving after that as far as I can remember. But AEW drops/retcons stuff all the time, though not as frequently as they used to, so I could easily be forgetting something.
I don't think it's necessarily Jay White being out of the group as much as it is the others are off TV because of injury. Though they did air a video package on Wednesday for the Gunns so I would assume that means they are back soon. So we could have some clarity on that fairly soon if we see the Gunns aligned with Jay or not.
I hope not b/c Jay seems to be better off without them and like night wish said they need to build up the tag division and since the acclaimed broke up they can fill that spot.
They can build up the tag division with the Gunns and still have Bang Bang Gang be a thing. Besides, in kayfabe someone is going to have to squad up to beat Moxley, and Jay already has a squad that's over with the live crowd.
Here in a little bit I'll put everyone's name in and draw numbers for the men's and women's Rumble. If your number wins then you get bragging rights for a year.
