CI Wrestling Thread #56

WWE has been building to the Bloodline match for over a year. How did they not have ready made 5th members for each team months in advance?

They are the company that takes pride in their long term storytelling. I am surprised they didn't have that done.

Just because it's not been made evident to the fans yet, doesn't mean they haven't had it planned for awhile who the 5th guys are.
I read where last night they had more matches that will be aired next week, including Bronson vs Rollins, and the new bloodline helped Bronson get the win.
So maybe that was the reason for the 5 psunami attack on Rollins, to give him enough reason to join the Roman & old bloodline to take out Bronson & the new bloodline.

Doing all that days before the show isn't a long term build though. That's what people gripe about AEW for doing, IMHO.

They didn't get to the 2300 Arena first but it's being reported that ROH Final Battle on Friday 12/20 and Collision on Saturday 12/21 will be at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Should look really cool on TV.

I was hoping it’d be the return of heyman and bringing cm punk as the 5th man for og bloodline to do heyman a favor.

Also looks like they are doing a women’s war games? Bianca/jade/naomi/iyo vs etc.

Yep, it's almost comical seeing both groups running around trying to recruit new members just for War Games, which is two weeks away. WWE creative is making this harder than it needs to be. Your main players are already involved. Do the 4 on 4, have Rock return, and down the line show friction between Solo and Fatu while Reigns ends his version of the Bloodline and becomes a huge face who goes out and fights alone.

I don’t understand what the ID thing means. Are they signing WWE contracts or what?
WWE Independent Development™ (WWE ID) is designed to provide independent wrestlers a clear pathway to a potential career in WWE.

Following the success of WWE's NIL program, WWE ID has been constructed to support independent wrestling prospects and schools with world-class training, development and mentorship, in turn raising the profile of and strengthening the independent wrestling ecosystem.

WWE will provide the most prominent independent wrestling schools in the U.S. with the "WWE ID" official designation, with the goal of guiding new trainees and existing talent at these select institutions with enhanced developmental opportunities.

WWE ID will identify the top independent wrestling prospects with an official "WWE ID Prospect" designation and support their developmental journey. WWE ID will give fans the opportunity to follow the paths of these standout prospects on the independent wrestling scene through curated, behind-the-scenes content, as well as highlights and matches showcased across WWE's social platforms.

Rhea would likely need a mask for a while but I wouldn't expect her out long. She should probably stop throwing herself into concrete walls and actually connecting with headbutts though.

The WWE ID program plants a flag in several wrestling schools around the country. Everyone selected thus far still might be a couple years away from being officially signed (if) so we're not anywhere close to seeing any of these folks in NXT. I do believe in five or ten years WWE will have official performance centers in other locations though, maybe Vegas, Chicago, NY, Canada, and perhaps a couple in the UK.
