Chris Doering picked the winner for all of UK's games on the SEC Network and he had us going 11-1

The first game we face a great QB. May not be the blowout some may think. Florida has three top DB's and a couple of top DL. May be hard to pass much that game. Have to hope we can control the line. Every game will have its challenge in some form and only get harder.
If Crod is suspended for the UF game, we will not win that game in the swamp.

And we always seem to have a bad game Following a Bye week !
I don't see this team having a bad game against Tennessee following a bye week IF they are 7-0 going into it. Dont forget Tennessee will be a TN Martin game removed from playing Bama when UK rolls into town this year, so they may not be at their best either.

Obviously the teams in the East take priority but a win @ Ole Miss would be real sweet.

The last 2 losses to the Rebels have been in spectacular fashion.

If UK goes into Oxford and is able to over power the Rebels, Im going to be real pumped for the second half of the schedule.

I could see an Ole Miss @ Oxford loss combine with a home Georgia win, way more than I can see a loss in Knoxville paired with a home Georgia win.

I don't think I'd be able to stomach winning the East, but losing to Tennessee. I agree with Max Duffy. He said he rather lose to Vandy than Tennessee.

I totally agree. Kirby has stacked back to back to back top 5 recruiting classes.

There is plenty of talent there to win it all again. Thus, we have to hope for them to not be at the top of their game when we play them.

Georgia is a different team when there is nothing to play for. They have played really bad in some bowl games lately.

You think we get to the UK game with nothing to play for? Media people are predicting we lose as many as 6 SEC games, team is locked in and focused. If anything the media has put a chip on this teams shoulder.

Chips don’t win game against better teams. If Stoops wins 11 games, he the second coming of Bear Bryant. Like I said in another post, you can depend on SEC officials costing UK a game or two. History repeats itself in SEC play all the time.

59 years for me as well...
I thought you were one wise old b@st@rd!!

I have known at least 3 folks who attended the 1950, Thanksgiving 7-0 loss in Knoxville, and all said officiating cost us that game. One guy is still living, having gone to the game at age 20, or so. He helped shovel through the deep
railroad cuts through which the train back to Lexington had to pass after the blizzard that began at halftime.

Ha ha. Anyone that thinks UK could lose to an unranked UT team and turn around and beat the defending champs and preseason #3 doesnt make much sense to me. On crack or not Hack.
We beat #1 LSU I'm 2007 and then turned around and lost to an unranked Miss St team so it happens

No, not at all. Just making a statement that even with more talent, a team still has to be motivated to win a game or run the risk of losing on any given Saturday , especially in the SEC.

The nothing to play for comment was if GA comes into that game with the East already clinched. Not the same incentive as 2018 when East title was up for grabs.

What media people? Lol

I've personally not seen anything that has you lower than the top 5.

The only thing I've seen that could be considered a slight is that the media doesn't think you can beat Alabama. But most think you play em twice, again.

Not every single one, but different media members have said we could lose to 6 SEC teams.

Yes we are ranked high. Dorrning is one, picking UK, which is very possible. Has UK's offense improved by 17 points after losing a 1k yd receiver while UGA's while returning 4 of 5 leading receivers, adding a frosh AA TE, another who missed 2 seasons with injuries, arguably the top OL in the conference and a QB who led a come from behind win in the 4th quarter against Bama doesn't improve any.

I was surprised we won it last year because of how conservative our offense was until Kirby opened it up in the 4th Qt and offenses had been winning. All that is missing from that offense is 2 OG and a back from that quarter. So yeah, I am excited about how productive that offense can be. Our record for a season is 42 pts a game, we break that this, we win ever how many that allows

In the '22 season, you are saying multiple media members project UGA to finish the regular season 6-6?

Or is it:

Well, I doubt any media has you losing more
than two, total. But, yeah, some USCe have you dropping the USCe game; some UT media losing that game, etc., but no one has UGA at 2-6 on the year.

One guy predicted a loss to UK. Another guy picked Florida. On and on until you have 6 different people projecting 11-1 or 10-2 but they all have different teams beating ya.

That would be a ride. That means at 11-1 could turn out to be 14-1. That would stick it to old Cal. A football Natty this year would Trump a Basketball natty... In the same year Right?

No not everyone is predicting 6-6, but have at least 1 has predicted us to lose to every SEC team other than Vandy and Missouri. Multiple have picked us to lose to some. We could lose some, but I think our offense improves more than the defense regressed, why won't it with 8 starters returning?

In part, but he was freakishly accurate in 2018, picking Kentucky as the SEC East dark horse pre-season, with a shot at ten wins.

His was the only voice preseason, 2018, to accurately foresee Kentucky’s Top 12 finish.

Only "media" voice

Grumpy- They're just trying to get clicks with that kind of prediction.

Of course, CD could be doing the same thing, but I appreciate the attention it brings to UK Football. It's time that the program take the next step. Winning while being expected to win is totally different than being the underdog for most of the season.

If you get a chance, Cat fans, to listen to Big Blue Insider (WLAP) from this evening, DGabriel has a long interview with Doering. It's something cool to listen to...

Dude’s been more respectful of Stoops and UK than any other regional or National commentator.

Find out the blend of crack he’s on and I’ll deliver it to other commentators.
The last few years. He was a hater up until then. Which makes his pick have some meaning. He doesn't "like us" neccesarily. He respects what Stoops has done though it took him a while to buy in.

CMS has done a tremendous job at UK, he has elevated play, coaching and recruiting. The UK game concerns me more than any on the schedule because they play physical like we do. UK is more than capable of beating us, but I think it has to outscore us and won't be defensive game.

Love Kentucky but if we are being honest 9-3 is probaly the most realistic maybe 8-4. I think 9-3 with losses to ole miss, Tennessee and Georgia

I think this is likeliest, but the preseason pub is nice.

If we pitch a 9-3, and are disappointed, Stoops has changed the culture more than I realized!!

I think Stoops' attention and success on the line play, both offensive and defensive, is what earns respect for Kentucky across the SEC. I have some concerns on the offensive line this year. How they shape up and how long Rodriguez is suspended will probably determine our season. I'm not sold on Levis' passing being that improved. I haven't seen it in the spring game or the open practice. Decision making and his progressions are his limitations, not his arm strength.

I agree Kentucky could certainly beat ole miss and has a shot at Georgia, but to me they have to consistently beat Florida and Tennessee first before they think about challenging Georgia

Do you not watch football? The randomness and the emotional swings are part of the game.

Is there any doubt that the UK team in 2020 that beat Florida in the swamp (a UF team that finished 10-3 and beat Michigan in the Peach bowl) was better than the UT team that finished 5-7 but killed UK in knoxville? It's football, these things happen every week.

LOL, there are ZERO media people picking UGA to lose 6 games. UGA will be favored in all 12 of their games this year. This is manufacturing drama where there isn't any. If I'm wrong, please send a link and I'll gladly eat crow.

I said there are media people picking 6 teams that can upset us. I am not manufacturing anything, just repeating what I read. I think 12-0 and average 45+ a game, provided Bennett stays healthy and give up 18-25.

Getting away from divisions at a time the East is about to get tougher. I thinkUK,UF and UT are better this year, think Carolina takes a step back while the rest stays relatively the same.

I'm being honest with myself and others. I think we could win as many games as 2018 (10 or 11) in the regular season. Have thought so for over a year. If it hurts anyone here, I'm not going to apologize. I don't talk about it on here much because people can't handle it.

If we lose some starters at key positions, it could be an 8 win season. If we stay healthy it could be 11. If we catch fire I don't think there's any game that we couldn't win.

That can win 10-11 games they have the talent, I’m not expecting it. Georgia is up there with Alabama now, Oxford is a really tough place to play and ole miss should be good this year, and tenn/Florida Kentucky needs to start beating them consistently especially Tennessee, but I am expecting 8-4 or 9-3, but wouldn’t be shocked if they won 10-11 games

This is my real opinion. As much as I hate to say it, I am afraid UT has found themselves a good coach. They can put some points up. Kirby is riding our defenders about getting in position for their offense now. They are recruiting well and have never had a problem paying players, except when they wanted to fire a coach. We have secondary skill to run with them, but we and everyone else has to get back in position, not celebrate. They will be a tough matchup for both of our teams. But we have a lockdown corner to hopefully shut down one side. Uf wasn't as bad as their record ended up being, UK played a UF who was still motivated. Napier has captured the fanbase, recruiting is going well, Richardson is ideal for what Billy wants to do. Maybe not this year, but I think he gets UF back close to where they want to be. But Billy's dad was a good friend of mine, Billy is a former player of mine so I am probably prejudice, made me sick he went to UF. Like the last few regular years I think the East comes down to us. I feel pretty good about the game because we have a better OL than last year, a TE room with at least 4 NFL guys in it and a very good college QB. Plus we have got one of those Aussie punters. But SEC East, for ever how long it last is getting tougher.
