Chris Doering picked the winner for all of UK's games on the SEC Network and he had us going 11-1

I have to agree on Tennessee. Until the Cats prove otherwise that will be their worse showing of the season. For some reason UK just doesn't have it in them to beat the Vols. A sad state of affairs to say the least. Fran Curci teams could do it but since then it has been long droughts. Like once every 25 years.

Now prove me wrong Cats, I would like nothing better.

Two years ago we blew them out on their home field. I agree it is a probable loss this year but stoops at least made beating them a semi regular occurrence.

I seen that last night and had to rewind and watch it over and over again just to make sure I seen what I seen.

Chris Doering has been on the UK train for a while now but him to predict UK over FL @ FL was huge and for him to put UK over GA no matter where they play was just unreal.
Lets hope he is right!!!!

I know we didn't play well last year, at least defensively, however I recall steamrolling them in Knoxville 2 years ago, so I'm going to chalk it up to being an anomaly. We are 2-3 against them the past 5 games since ending the losing streak. Though, like most on here, if we are 11-1 and that's our only loss, I'll take that all day every day and twice on Sunday.

I am putting LARGE money on us losing to UT this year on the money line. And will be happy to lose it, but until they prove me otherwise we just find a way to lose this dumb game more than win it.

Unless I’m seriously mistaken, he picked us to beat Florida at home, last year, and finish second to UGA in the East.

I’ll never forget seeing him openly weep in 2018 during Kentucky’s run: Doering loves the college game, and realizes his name will forever be associated with UK.

i have the same result best case scenario. ut will be tough especially right after uga at home, our game of the year. surprised he had us beating uf. it all depends on uf and ole miss. if we get off 2-0 i really think we’ll be going into the uga game undefeated.

This is along the lines of a farmer washing his car and hanging clothes out during a drought!

I hope you lose that money, too!

Dude’s been more respectful of Stoops and UK than any other regional or National commentator.

Find out the blend of crack he’s on and I’ll deliver it to other commentators.
Ha ha. Anyone that thinks UK could lose to an unranked UT team and turn around and beat the defending champs and preseason #3 doesnt make much sense to me. On crack or not Hack.

Chris Doering knows more about football and is particularly more unbiased than any other commentator on SEC Network.

I used to hate the guy for that last pass of course, and for always dishing on UK, until I figured out he was just being very honest about where our program was at the time.

Once I got beyond my own bias toward Chris, I finally recognized he gave his honest opinion of a team based on their talent, what he had observed at their training camps, and what he actually witnessed during games, and his years of experience in both college and the NFL, instead of being a homer for his own Alma Mater.

He and Alyssa Lang are probably the best two at trying to be objective on their analysis and projections for teams.

Laura Rutlege is a homer...............but who cares???

Well, it makes no sense until you review recent history.

Unfortunately, in 2018 and in 2021, both winning seasons for UK in the SEC, our only winning SEC seasons in conference since 1977, we have lost to the Volunteers.

Vandy and South Carolina have better records against UT than we do the last ten years, and we have dominated Vandy and South Carolina.

We beat No. 1 LSU in 2007, and lost to UT?!?

Frankly, the UT curse makes no damn sense, any way you look at it, but it is what it is.

I agree thar UK is our toughest game of the season, plus our defense will take a step back, but not the Huge step many think/hope. 3 projected first rounders, and every draft eligible player on D projected to be drafted. Offensively, 4 OL starters from last year, 1 injured early. The best and deepest TE room in the country, 4 WR who have 500+yd seasons in their careers, a RB who has waited his turn while watching back ahead of him drafted, let be a QB who is 3rd statically in the SEC and a NC on his resume. Going to be hard to outscore us.

Yep.

Georgia will have to be generous on turnovers for us to pull an upset.

I was in Athens last year, screaming for our defense to pick up the fumble . . . .

But alas . . . . if “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts, we’d all have a Merry Christmas!

Turnovers are the great equalizer for sure. Normally I don't feel as good about a team, But this group just has so many proven playmaker and Bennett's accuracy on the deep routes. Probably won't get drafted but he gets zero respect for his accomplishments, which not a single QB in college can match.

Just look at the away schedule and be honest. How many of those teams with SEC refs could beat UK? 11-1 is nuts when you consider SEC officials. They always cost UK a game or two.

GA typically has one clunker game every year where they just don't play up to their talent level. Not unusual. Most teams do.
Unfortunately, we typically have 2-3 games like that, the 2 games following our bye weeks, and the UT game........almost 100 % on UT game.

We can only hope we catch GA on their "off" day, but not likely. Kirby will have them ready for us.

The good/ bad news for us is UT game comes after a bye week this year, so, that should eliminate one clunker game for us.

Sounds like a prediction of a repwhere?
Ot quite, ot sure we can stop Bama e ought to outs ore them. But if the team doesn't make it to Aanta regardless of the record .out UGA fans wod be disappointed with the season. But I lived long enough to see us win one, one of the last o e with a team that wast bought or developed by someone else a d brought in. If we don't wiff another in the era we just enter, I am good

Last one was South Carolina 3 seasons ago, we played fairly well since e thT cluster. Of course it could happen anytime.

We lost alot of talent from last years team but we play an awful lot of people on D, they kept teams from scoring too. I think we will still be top 20 defense.

I totally agree. Kirby has stacked back to back to back top 5 recruiting classes.

There is plenty of talent there to win it all again. Thus, we have to hope for them to not be at the top of their game when we play them.

Georgia is a different team when there is nothing to play for. They have played really bad in some bowl games lately.

No way we lose to UT and beat Georgia.
Dude’s on crack.
Matt Stinchcomb was all SEC at UGA and also played in the NFL. He knows a lot more about SEC football than you and I do.

Stinchcomb's predictions for each game are bold. But that is beside the point. What's interesting is the rapid growth in respect that the talking heads have for Kentucky football.

I think the Kentucky-Tennessee game will be a tossup again. Last year, Kentucky heavily dominated time of possession and moved the football up the field at will. But Levis threw a pick 6 and Kentucky's Cbacks were not able to cope with Tennessee's receivers. This year, our Cbacks have been upgraded and our Dline is really good. We can win this game if Levis plays well.

I do not really see us beating UGA, but it is hard to say how much Kirby's team will backslide after all the heavy personnel losses from their defense.

Watch out for Ole Miss.

The first game we face a great QB. May not be the blowout some may think. Florida has three top DB's and a couple of top DL. May be hard to pass much that game. Have to hope we can control the line. Every game will have its challenge in some form and only get harder.

And we always seem to have a bad game Following a Bye week !
