If there was ever a #2 pick who would come back wouldn't it be KAT? He loves this place and I think it is genuine
lol...you mean a guy who averaged 12 and 5 for a terrible coach. yeah that sucks.Originally posted by ThroughBlue:
Are you worried that there is a little Isaiah Austin in him?Originally posted by BostonCat2001:
zimmerman just has a great feel for the game. can shoot it from 18 feet, put the ball on the floor, use post moves with his back to the basket. legit 7 footer who moves really really well....case closed for me.Originally posted by Cat Ballou:
I think the point is, we haven't had a lot of luck taking these guys who are poor on offense and making decent offensive weapons out of them. I kind of think shooting ability is something you either have or don't have, and it's almost impossible to teach.
With Zimm, I see a guy who has that knack on offense, who is skinny but broad-shouldered. He still has the body of a gawky teenager, but I could see him getting Davis level muscular/wiry by the time he's around 21. I see immense potential, and I suspect Cal does too. He's also already had the experience of being on a team with a very good Center and not always being the man. That's more important than I think many realize - I think his transition to college is going to be pretty seamless.
I don't quite understand the love for Swanigan. Admittedly, I've only seen a sample size, but he reminded me of a poor man's Dakari Johnson.Originally posted by EMMCAT:
As far as the other bigs are concerned ,I would rank them Maker, Rabb, then Swanigan whom I see as a smaller version of Dakari.
Any class that includes Skal, big Z plus any one of Diallo, Maker ,Rabb or Swanigan would be great. Skal, big Z and Rabb would be spectacular.
+1. I think the NBA Combine opened some eyes for these young men.Originally posted by BostonCat2001:
i think people are going to be surprised at who returns. just like last year when everyone assumed 5, 6 guys would leave after 1 year.....doubt very much that happens.Originally posted by JonathanUSAF:
Boston, I will be somewhat surprised if Zimmerman will be the last commitment from a big man. I could easily be mistaken, but I think Calipari may very well take two more big men to go with Skal, especially as an insurance policy due to Skal's handler.
Matt Jones has been alluding to something positive for UK being worked out regarding a recruit, but he couldn't talk about it.Originally posted by WildMoon:
So what about Thon Maker?
he is really important, he also have younger brother. Not sure if he's also a big talent or not, but could have interesting impact.
Sorry, did a really lazy job of making that point.Originally posted by *Bleedingblue*:
Gonzo what you mean by being the opposite of Diallo?
Height wise? Diallo is kinda short to be a center unless he grows some more, He is no more than 6'8" has the body of a power forward but not the skill set.
