Let's forget about Murray for the time being. Right now he's not even a 2015 recruit.
Charles Matthews has sufficient size to play the 3. He is an explosive athlete, has the versatility to be a very good defender at the 2 and 3, and is a guy who I have read projects to become a very good scorer. He's going to get tons of minutes now. UK still has really good guard play. Mulder, Briscoe, Ulis, and Matthews are 4 players good enough to handle the duties on the perimeter. Even a nice little bit of experience with Ulis running the show and Mulder being 20 or 21 years old. That might not be high major experience, but he knows hard work from what has been said.
It would have been great to have added more elite depth, but it just wasn't meant to be in this class. I'll continue to keep an eye on Maker, but he can't help from what it sounds like, until roughly January. Kentucky, as a team this year, still has plenty of talent compared to the rest of college basketball.
