Change tempo or change quarterbacks

Leary was in a fast tempo at NC STATE when he put up big numbers. So, do we go play fast to see if that helps or choose it’s time to ditch Leary and go with Sheron?
100% agree we need to try something/someone differet…but ”passing” the ball is only 1/2 of the throwing transaction.
Somebody has to actually catch the darn ball when it hits you in the hands. We all see Leary’s passes sailing to some phantom receive at times and its incomprehensible he can miss wide open bodies…but those “drops”…those are killers too.

Outside of an injury to Leary, I don’t see Stoops trying anyone else at the position, and, a fast paced offense is not in his repertoir.

A defensive coach only thinks in terms of what’s best for his defense, and Stoops is no different. I remember Coen himself saying Leary is better in a up tempo style offense, and that’s something he may need to incorporate, at least at times, this season. Hasn’t happened yet. Will it? I doubt it. Why? Stoops thinks it hurts our “vaunted” bend and eventually break defense. And hey, the opponent’s ability to score on his defense is nil while the offense is on the field. So I doubt he changes his stance on this.

Most coaches at least try to give their backup QB SOME snaps during the early part of the schedule, but not Stoops, and IMHO it's a big mistake.

Now is the time to give Sheron a shot, because Stoops isn't going to change his offensive philosophy to better suit Leary, we all know that.

Yea, firing the winningest coach in school history when he’s 5-2 on the year will def attract other top-notch coaches that have a chance to get UK to 11-1 seasons on the norm.
This just shows how mediocrity is accepted. Okay 👍

This is from KSR
. Out of 133 FBS schools in play college football, the Wildcats rank 133rd with only 55.3.
What are the numbers of the 4 or 5 in front of UK? If they are all tied at 55.4, then that would be different than a range between 56 and say, 65. (Just throwing out a number.)

Stoops isn't going anywhere ever unless he leaves.

UK also won't ever win more than 9 reg season games ever and may not win 9 again under Stoops.

Here are the bottom of the barrel teams in plays a game.

For comparison, Georgia is at 41 with 72.7 and Missouri is at 77 with 68.2. That's like at least 2 or 3 more possessions per game or maybe a few more extended drives. What makes it worse for us is we are also near the bottom of time of possession. We can't even win the milk the clock battle being so slow.

We aren’t just last. We are last by almost 3 full snaps/game. Pretty laughable actually.
