He is not a good defender.
Let me fix that . . .he's not a consistently good defender yet but showed flashes of being our best on the ball defender a few times this year against some good opponents. When locked in showed abillity to move and be physical, but also when not engaged got lost and beat too. So the ability is there, just needs to show it consistently.

Well stated sir.

Everything but ball handling
Yeah needs to pick that up. Again dont think its for a lack of ability to handle it and be quick, just got caught not being ready for the speed of the game a few times like Perry and others did. You cant lolligag in todays game cause they're always challenging every dribble and coming after the ball. Moves have to be quick and decisive. Takes some freshman a while to adjust to that from high school speed

Multiple years of eligibility and roster retention, alongside sound roster construction. Veteran leadership to help initiate the younger Cats' to Pope's system and a leg up on what it's going to be like suiting up for Kentucky.

What an amazing job CMP has done. It is absolutely, far and away, far more enjoyable to me to see Coach Pope do everything he does and that he HAS ALREADY done here at Kentucky.

And this is wonderful news to see confirmed ! I am continuing to place my faith and trust in not only CMP, but players like Chandler, Perry, as well as Noah, all of 'em, really, to step up and contribute and develop into the true grit kind of players we need here at Kentucky to lead us to #9.

It's leadership and players like this we have needed here at Kentucky for so long, some of us were concerned we would ever see it again.

I know everyone's laughing at this, cause it is ridiculous in some aspects. But there's 350 D1 schools out there. Some of them Chandler could start on, and others he could be the 6th man. He could have went back to BYU or somewhere in Utah near home. So I think thats pretty telling that he's choosing to stay here when he might wind up bating 9th.
