Collin had his first good game in the Vandy game on February 19. Over those last 11 games, he did the following:
15mpg
5.5ppg
.482 3 point percentage (14 for 29)
15mpg
5.5ppg
.482 3 point percentage (14 for 29)
The biggest difference maker will be #1- rebounding #2 defense. And yes teams will have to focus more on stopping our cuts off zoom action, which will create better looks from 3.Outside of replacing Brea, I think the 25-26 team could be every bit as good as the 24-25 Cats beyond the perimeter.
My best guess for 25-26:
Chandler/Williams = upper 30s near 40%
Oweh/Aberdeen/Johnson/Noah/Diabate (low volume) = ~35%
Lowe/Jelavic/Garrison = ~33%
By comparison in 24-25:
Brea/Almonor = >43%, 42%
Butler/Jax = upper 30s
Oweh/Chandler = ~35%
Noah/Carr/Perry = 32%
Garrison = 30%
So, again, I think the teams will end up being similar as far as just how many guys will be competent threats beyond the arc. The difference is the 25-26 team won't have anyone who is deadly even when someone is one him like Brea.
However, there may be more guys able to penetrate on the 25-26 team, so there may be more open 3s than last year...at least, that's what I'm hoping.
Best jerseys in the game back in the day. Bring those out during the final four and we will win number 9I hope UK has a game where they bring these out. Also, might as well have one tune-up game where we bring these bad boys out of the crawl space:
