Haven't heard much on our kicker this year? I really hope he can step up and consistently make FG's this year!

I think they were working with him clearing the line(height) and consistency.
Reports that he has a strong leg, works hard on his technique and routine.

I anticipate a really good season from Mr. Poore!

We had several close games last year and I suspect that multiple games could depend on Chance.

I know but.....I saw a guy named Ben Logsdon linked to UK in the past couple of weeks. Don't know how accurate the report was(don't recall where I saw it) but I did see a mention. Think he may be out of St X in Louisville.

Yup, he is a walk-on. I really have no idea why we have 3 kickers and 2 punters?

Maybe Stoops is gonna have kicker specialists that serve as a kickoff guy that can drill it into the endzone without fail, field goal guy for FG's inside 40 yards & extra points and field goal guy for 40+ yards.

So we have a backup for our punter Duffy too. He is strictly an insurance policy!

I have no earthly idea why we have so many of these guys...but Stoops is dead serious about our punt/kick game! Special Teams can be a real weapon and UK aims to capitalize!!!

I know Wes Johnson and his family. Great kid and parents. Was a standout at linebacker and fullback for North Oldham. Has great speed. Could be very good on special teams.

Interesting. None of these guys are listed in the 2019 UKAthletics.com roster, so I guess they wait until after camp before adding walk-ons.

Chance Poore played in a few games and was a redshirt last season. I would say we probably have the most depth at kicker in the country! Stoops must have nightmares about our kickers/punters pulling a muscle or getting turf toe...LOL.

UK’s roster includes these names-

Max Duffy- punter
Colin Goodfellow- punter
Ben Logsdon- placekicker
Grant McKinniss- punter/placekicker
Chance Poore- placekicker
Mark Ruffolo- placekicker

Duffy, McGinniss, and Poore are on scholarship. The others are walk-ons. McKinniss signed in 2016 to become our punter. If he had won the punting job, we would only have two kickers on scholarship now. But I’m glad Duffy is here.

We traveled to Nashville to years ago a little kicker poor.

With this depth, we will travel with a Chance Poore.
