CBS: First Round Draft Grades; Celtics Got a Big F for Picking Rozier

I thought there were some dumb picks.

I'm not sure how many teams made the right choices, and i'm not sure why teams looked so confused.

It was a dumb pick. They have guards. they don't need guards. It's more of a reflectiomn of the position oicked than the player picked.
agreed - Rozier is not a bad player at all; in the right system he'd probably be a solid contributor. But the Celtics.......wow; just why?

Exactly how I felt when the pick was announced. I've followed the Celtics for a long time but that pick really left me puzzled. Nothing against Rozier as I don't care where guys played before going to the NBA, but the Celtics just didn't need him for any reason so it made no sense to me. Ainge has all these 1st round picks stockpiled for years to come and they made a big deal of that during the draft show last night. But, what good are all those picks if you're going to blow it like they did last night. Still shaking my head today over that one.

Celtics tried to offer Charlotte for the 9th pick to select Justice Winslow but they wouldn't take it because they coveted Kaminsky so much.

Did any of you notice that Rozier was the only player drafted who refused to wear his college team jersey. Clearly a shot at LilBro and Pitino in particular. He wore a jersey that said NBA Draft Combine or something like that. A caller on KSR asked MJ about it but he didn't think this was a shot at LilBro, maybe the athletic dept didn't get the shirt there in time for the video. WTF? MJ is usually smarter than that. There is no more media savvy and propaganda pumping athletic department than LilBro's "the little engine that could."

Saying they simply probably just missed the UPS truck....that is silly. Rozier and Harrell both are clearly not happy with Pitino (Harrel for good reason).

Keep it up Celts.....Brad Stevens will be ready for the picking when Cals ready to go lol

I was so apoplectic about this last night I couldn't even post. This pick is literally insane at #16. Celtics left Grant, Jones, Harrison, and other better PGs on the board to take Rozier. Then they watch the division rival Knicks get Grant in a trade they could easily have done.

I don't get it. If Brad Stevens wanted a 6'1" bowling ball PG he could have just picked up the phone and called Shelvin Mack. At least Mack led his team to two national title games, which is a hell of a lot more than Rozier ever did.
