Had some really good offers out of HS although he wasn't ranked highly. Came in the same class as Jacquez Jones so there may be a connection there.
A brief highlight reel from him, but I will 100% welcome him with open arms. He might be what we're missing.

He actually played really well as a safety last season for Ole Miss. He didn’t play a ton of corner.
I don't know on this one...we don't need a safety in any way IMO. We need a pure CB....
If his Safety experience is true this looks like a Quandrey Mosely type player, good athlete and versatile. If he's who Stoops wants I'm good with it.
Man....Q Moseley was not a good CB to be honest. He was average CB at best IMO. I was hoping for a big upgrade at a position like Wandale and Levis. This sort of is feeling like we're treading water at the spot
Mosely with a big INT vs Iowa in Citrus. Doubt if he's drafted but he'll make a NFL roster as a NDFA. Really good athlete, was a JUCO Safety maybe to your point. Like I said, if Smith is who Stoops wants I'm all in or Stoops may have another plan like take Smith and someone else.

From reading what I can, he had a pretty serious injury. They said the same thing Bo Jackson had. I'm thinking either he isn't 100% healthy or the injury has hurt his game.

Oh I didn’t know he had injuries I just though he left Ohio state over playing time issues, because I was about to say I am fine with Kentucky taking the rejects form Alabama Georgia Ohio state Clemson and so on, they aren’t getting playing time there come to Kentucky we will be than happy to welcome them
If CMS can't pull a couple of decent DB out of the portal, will be a long difficult year in games against pass first teams.

No he was a projected 1st Rd pick this year. After getting hurt his numbers went way down. He took his time making a decision to try the draft and OSU replaced him. I'm sure the injury played a role in that too
Coach Stoops recently stated on the SEC Channel that he wants a CB and a OT out of the transfer portal this spring. It has been obvious for weeks that Keidron Smith is the CB Coach Stoops wants.
One caveat. Smith has also played a lot of S at OM. IMHO, we could really use another experienced S too, since Tisdale is out with an injury, Corker graduated, and Douglass is transferring.
With Earnest Sanders entering the portal this week, Stoops can potentially add up to 4 more players this spring by my count. If Ruffolo is on scholarship, that number would be reduced to three. In any case, this has the makings of a good SEC football team, but the ultimate result may depend on how those few remaining scholarships are used on transfers this spring considering that there are still a couple of major needs.
I'm not positive on that. TOS had the February date when I was looking yesterday.
They also have Corey Kiner, the RB from LSU committed to Cincinnati but I haven't seen anything official on that yet. I thought UK might try and get involved in that one too. UK would have needed a waiver but Marrow recruited him in high school.
Have watched Kiner for a few years up here in Cincinnati. He was a really good HS player playing against D3 and D4 kids. He struggled big time with the speed and physicality of the SEC, which was evident in our game against LSU. I would have liked to have seen us get Gi'Bran Payne, another Cincy RB who decommitted from IU and committed to Notre Dame last week.
