Cats will be ultra young but ultra talented and the crazy 8 factor will be in play

It would be too good to be true for Kentucky to have both Bam and Bamba in the same front court next season. For that reason, Bam won't be coming back for his SO year at Kentucky. The good news is, i do believe Cal lands Bamba. With as many NBA bigs Cal has coached at Kentucky, Bamba won't risk his future with any other coach during his year one of college basketball. That would be too much risk for a big with the potential a kid like Bamba has on the court. Kentucky will have major talent next season. If Kentucky can find a few guys to knock down the deep shots next year, no reason Kentucky can't go far once the NCAA tourney starts. Most might be a lil nervous about Green running the show his freshman season, but not me. With Cal as coach, the kid might not look the part the first part of his freshman season, but later on during the year, Cal wiill have this kid ready to help lead Kentucky. It is just what Cal does as a coach. No reason to question the dude now. It's not like Green doesn't have talent for Cal to coach up. We all know the kid has major talent.

I think this class is a sign of Cal going away slightly from the OAD model.

Guys like Washington, Vanderbilt, Richards, Alexander and Green are all solid players who are going to be great college basketball players, but right now they all have certain flaws in their game they will probably prevent them from being OAD. These are the type of lower range 4 and 5 star players that teams like UNC and Louisville have feasted on.

These guys should give us a core of 2-3 year guys to which we'd just need to add a couple of Top 10 OAD caliber guys every year. I'm glad to see it. I'm sure Cal is tired of the pressure to have to re-stock every year.

Maybe you're right and that is Cal's plan but I think if Cal had his way he'd have 5 more OAD in this class. It's just that this class is pretty weak when it comes to top talent so he is just taking what's available. We may be in for another 2014 type season, 10 or 11 losses or so.

It's time for the OP's annual bi-polar trait to show up. He does this every year. He's ripping fans all all year for not being 1000% positive but once UK trips up in the tourney he becomes JFCats22 on steroids.
