Cats vs Vandy (Game 3)

How ironic that Kessler and Platiak won the game for Kentucky. 2 guys that the head coach totally gave up on and buried for no good reason at all. As it turns out Kessler is the teams best hitter and was left for dead on the bench, if not for an injury he would’ve at best gotten very few spot at bats ala Shelby. Goes to show you how terrible am evaluator Nick Mingione is. And Plastiak also , given a full season of at bats , that he should’ve gotten he would’ve produced. He was an all star in the Coastal league and had draft heat however he sits the bench on a team that isn’t even top 40 most of the season.

NM had no problem sabotaging 2 very talented players in years that were very critical to their career while negotiating his own contract extension. Que up the “ Christian rhetoric “ it’s all baloney

Ming is a total fraud. Talks the talk, doesn’t walk the walk.
Exactly. It’s all phones baloney. The fake Christian good guy thing. Ask Kessler , Plastiak etc how much consideration NIck gave to what being benched an entire season would do To their their potential to sign as a pro, meanwhile NM is negotiating on behalf of his own future?!
Actions speak louder than words. Let’s be clear about this, Kessler was left for dead on the bench after being a 3 year starter. The likelihood of him having a pro career was drastically diminished by Nick leaving him with no role at all. Were it not for an injury to Rubalca your best hitter would’ve sat the bench the entire year. Nick is a phoney and a terrible talent evaluator.

Nick is so predictable. His summary about Kessler will be the following:
He started eating right. He began keeping a food log. He started “ buying in “ etc. All things that would indicate his programs process was the catalyst.
All the credit should to go to Kessler.

A&M coach fired but Nick gets extended. Compare Childress and Nicks records 2 and 2 not equaling 4. Give Nick credit though for using the Christian angle to fraud his way into an extension. Calipari is a Christian also but you don’t see him using Christianity to solidify his position within the university.

You know Jim after a certain point I no longer blame Mingione for the mess. I put the blame on the top guy, Mitch.

From Only the things that occured this season behind the scenes, he should’ve been fired before the 1st game. Him getting an extension told me everything I need to know About wether MB was looking at all the obvious signs with scrutiny or not. Just with the BJ situation alone he should’ve been fired Without question.

And there are PLENTY of other examples before BJ3 it’s not like that was an isolated incident.

Please don’t even ask me to elaborate about that situation I shouldn’t even be mentioning that but it’s a black eye on the MB that he extended Nick after that.

Don’t for 1 second think that Kessler is the first player that he mis-evaluated and mis-treated.

kessler is a great example of why the team morale is piss poor. Kessler is not an outlier. Nick has mis-utilized every single resource He has been given. Imagine being Kessler And rotting on the bench after being the best Wildcat hitter in conferance Play in 2019. 2020 Covid. 2021 he is benched for a juco transfer and not a platoon , completely and totally benched and only got in the game until Nick was forced to play him.
if you were Kessler would you care that Coach Mingione is pushing a Christian agenda and parading himself as saint while he is being sabotaged ?
