Cats better take care of Vandy

You couldn’t afford to lose any home homes in the SEC this year. Don't give a fk if anyone says otherwise. Now Vandy is not even close to a sure thing, as they just best UT at home. You lose that one, you fall to .500 in conference play with your next 3 games of:

@UT
Arkansas
@Ole Miss

This thing could get out of control very quickly.

Auburn is the only team that has a chance to win all of their home games . We were never going to win the sec . Any reasonable person would know that.

SEC regular season title is prolly out of reach but we have 5 top 25 wins. Everything we do from here is seeding for the NCAA. So not all is lost. We knew this team has a defense issue. It’s not all that surprising the highest scoring team in the country was able to out run Kentucky. But there are maybe 2 other teams right now that can.

Auburn has a tough home schedule too. It won't be easy. Of the 6 top contenders only auburn and ole miss and UT haven't lost at home yet. Alabama, Florida, and UK have. A and m has. Msu has. Uga has.

Pope will have our guys ready for battle after the weeks rest. I look for us to give them a good old fashioned backside beating. That makes for better headlines going into Tennessee game (we might actually get some calls)

I think Vandy was even missing one of their top players. We gonna miss Stackhouse🤡
Vandy is very athletic team with lots of speed. They take the ball to the rim which with a defense that is not very quick, they will be a tough out. Hopefully we are shooting the 3 ball lights out. I watched some of the Vandy/TN second half. Vandy beat TN much much worse than the score indicates. They dominated TN in every phae of the game except the last 2 minutes. TN missed a tying free throw with 2.8 seconds on the clock.

Well we get a week to get healthy. We need a break right now. I seriously doubt we get Kerr back this year (not sure why but just a feeling), but we do have a week to get Butler and Carr fully healthy. We have a week to get some things that needs to seriously be worked on worked out (I hope).

Oweh needs to be our rebounding coach. He at least goes up with 2 hands and is battling guys with 3 to 5 inches on him. Williams gets a ton of rebounds but he loses almost as many as he gets. Garrison lets himself get pushed under the rim way too much. Carr needs to work on a bunch of stuff. I am hoping his back is causing some of the issues and can be corrected this week. A week to have Perry get better and for guys to maybe catch some extra R&R.

GO BIG BLUE!!!!

Talk to the officials lol. Is Vandy going to be allowed to play like TA&M against us? If so, it's going to be a long game.

Unreal Vandy kept Stackhouse that long. Terrible coach.

Gotta get Carr and Butler healthy. Good having a few days off to rest and recover.

Dude you can say that about every team in this conference. There's nothing you can do about it, There's not one single easy game left on the schedule.

Carr and Butler are obviously hurt and we need Krissa as Perry just is not ready for high level SEC play. We got a week off to rest and hopefully heal and go back at it. Again, whether Robinson can be a star or not will decide this teams ceiling.

As far as injuries Butler was in a sling post game. My experience with back problems show they seem to be fine then come back with a vengeance. I am leaning to Krissa NOT returning.

So whatever healing we get, some other folks like Almonor, Garrett and Perry best get their game faces ready we will need em.

Think you may be right about Krissa. Don't know if he can get an injury redshirt for this season. Believe Carr is really hurting as he is not the same player the past few games. Positives is that Almonor and Garrison have really played well. Perry made a couple of bad plays today, but he seems to be confident while he is on the court. If he could hit a few 3 pointers and make the opposition respect his offense this would open up shots for our other 3 point guys.

The most positive aspect of this team is that they are a team playing together. Different guys lead the way which puts stress on the opponent's defense. Disappointed in the loss to Bama but give them credit for playing aggressive and hitting their free throws.

Even if we do lose at that Operahouse I'm all in with Coach Pope.
I am an IU fan first, and we are celebrating a gift at OSU. So UK (and UL) have nothing to whine about. But I have to say this is the most enjoyable UK team I may have ever watched play and I am 68 years old. Bottom line, like you I love Pope. Wish we had him. The style reminds me of back when the NBA was fun to watch.

And they would still be comfortably in the tourney if it does

While I live in Southern indiana I have been to assembly hall before I am no indiana fan by no means. But you acknowledged my Coaches passion and I appreciate that. Even my stringent IU fan father in law won't even dare do that! So fine sir I applaud you tonight.

Vanderbilt is and will always be tough to win on their home court. We need this win, especially after they beat Tennessee today.
