Florida actually looked lights out against an overmatched New Mexico State team.

"overmatched New Mexico State team" is the biggest understatement ever. New Mexico State is consistently one of the worst teams in the country.

You asked me to think about that, and I did, and concluded that Western does not "own" us. If they "own" us, after winning two consecutive games against us, then we "own" South Carolina, and I would never be so bold as to say that.

I'd say we do own South Carolina at this point. We will beat them again next year. There is no excuse for losing to WKU two years in a row. That is beyond pathetic and tells you where UK football is trying to recover from. Thanks a lot Mitch for your dereliction of duty.

Missouri has the 4th best defense in the country because they played #71, #120, and D-1 AA teams. Give me a break.... USC held Arkansas State to 6 points(Missouri allowed 20), yet allowed Stanford to score 41....D-1 AA Villanova held UConn to 20 points....Foreman held SE Missouri State to 14...GIVE ME A BREAK WITH THAT BS.

USC gave up 401 yards offense to Arkansas State. Missouri gave up 217 yards to Arkansas State.

Arkansas State scored a TD on a 7 yard drive, a field goal off a 38 yard drive starting at the Missouri 41. Arkansas had one TD drive of 63 yards. And another field goal starting a drive at the Missouri 13 yard line and getting moved back 10 yards. 13 of their 20 points were off short fields from Missouri turnovers. So your comparison of the Missouri D vs USC D is way wrong.

Missouri gave up 233 yards offense to UConn. Their only score was a TD on a 35 yard drive off a Mauk interception.

Missouri gave up 201 yards and a field goal to SEMO.

One TD allowed in 3 games by the defense that wasn't due to a short field off a Mizzou offense turnover.

I see the pattern and it drives me crazy. Florida almost loses to two bad teams (we are one) and they have great talent. Missouri isn't as good because they haven't beaten us yet. But if they do, they will be the best team ever and we are overmatched. This is the point of my "No more excuses" thread. Florida didn't look better than ECU, why did they look better than us? Missouri has won the East 2 years in a row, why aren't they good? Because in most KY fans minds, we are better until you hand us our ass like Florida did. And before anyone says it was close, I agree, it was close and we should have won. But we did not execute with talented players. if you are talented and continue to lose, you are getting your ass handed to you. We had open receivers and could not score a touchdown. I'm tired of the excuses that the are better than us. Beat them. No more excuses.
