Had announced earlier their desire to enter the portal but played yesterday and were big contributors to UK's win. I hope these guys will reconsider and agree to come back as role players but if not they have displayed their character and have shown they are excellent team players/teammates. Good luck to them whatever path they decide to follow.

I sort of get with Casey and Gibson as they’re passed in depth chart by younger dudes and probably don’t start in 2022. But Kd McDaniel I don’t get. We have zilch at Sam and not a ton at Jack….I’d love to keep him in the fold

Injuries forced McDaniel to play outside, really thought he was better suited for ILB but he moved to help the team. Hope he lands on his feet.

They were very much needed yesterday. It goes to show that the Coaches did not burn bridges with these guys and they still felt very much part of the team to want to give it their all. Good for all of them!

Look for Miami to be in contention for Casey. New U coach is the reason he committed to Oregon.

UL fans thought Casey had realized what a stupid decision he had made and was coming home . They actually thought that .

They may recruit him but if he can't make the rotation here, I don't see him doing it there

You are kidding. UK would drill the U right now. Much easier path to playing time there now. Plus Cristobol is an elite recruiter, getting kids out of south Florida got tougher for everyone. I wasn't too concerned with Diaz, he was fired as a DC from more than one place but Cristobol was Saban's OL coach at one time, not sure about being OC but was there with some of Bama's best OLs.

As a team they sucked, but they several really good players. Idk about LBs they may be thin. But you want to tell me UGA didn't want James Williams or that he wouldn't have helped their secondary. They suck but last year alone they had 2 five star and 12 four star prospects sign. Plus got the former 5 star cb to transfer from UGA. They have players just no structure or the right coaching

247 has a team talent ranking, were they rank the amount of talent each team has. It is based on the kids rankings out of HS so it isn't 100% accurate as we all know they miss on alot of kids. Some are better alot are worse. Miami is #13, UK is 31. Whether it's distractions, poor coaching, or whatever that causes them to suck, it is not talent. We may not have their talent level but we do have a toughness that would allow us to kick their butts

Staff thought they were getting James WIlliams too until Miami hired one of their former players to keep Miami kids home. The transfer from UGA to Miami was a 4*, more a nickle guy than a true corner. They signed a good DB class in 21. But like I said, it's much easier to find playing time at the U than it is at UK, just like the transfer we had to went to FSU, he led the ACC in sacks, may have led the country. Good player hated losing him much worse than the DB. But his dad felt he wasn't getting the reps he needed so they moved to where the rotation is so quick. UGA plays alot of kids, none will put up eye opening stats. If that is something you feel you need to get to the NFL then UGA isn't the place for you right now.

The only thing I can think of with McDaniel is that it might be something not football related. Maybe he needs to be closer to home or something. If Jordan Wright doesn't return then McDaniel is projected as a starter right now. The only way he improves his playing time over what he has now at UK is if he transfers down to a small school level.

Grumpy I know a certain basketball coach who states that a lot.

“Kentucky is not for everyone. You have to sacrifice playing time and stats to come here and you’re not getting 20 shots a game.”
