Nice road victory. If we sure up the second halves of our games, I really think we have something special. SEC title game, this year?

lol lets not get ahead of ourselves now.

Georgia is a whole other level ahead of the division. UT is looking great. Florida looks beatable I just hope we arent too emotionally exhausted from this game.

Other than at UGA, not really looking as daunting as it did before. UT and AU look human and get them both at home. Winnable road games at MSU and should be a win in Vandy. The next two weeks will tell us the tale OP. I picked us to beat FL and will stand by it.

Crazier things have happened ed. Auburn and UT are beatable. It is down to Georgia standing in our way.

UT did not look great at all today. I was very underwhelmed with Dobbs especially with his terrible accuracy and decision making for a guy who is so book smart.

It all depends on these guys getting better,And not falling apart in the second half of the season..

We are nowhere near Georgia's level, but they have rougher schedule.

This game was sort of like the Florida game last year, only we pulled it out. I expect us to beat Florida this year, much like we beat SC last year.

Down the stretch, I look for our lack of depth to bite us and we lose to UT, Georgia, Missouri, etc.

4-4 in conference would be a huge step forward.

I think if we win these next 2 games, we would be in great standing to do so. The only games I have down for almost definite losses is Georgia and auburn but auburn looks unimpressive. So we shall see .

I agree that 8-4 and 4-4 in conference would be pretty good. Missouri in 2 weeks is definitely winnable.

None of the SEC East teams have looked impossible to beat. UT lost today and struggled some last week against BG. Missouri struggled tonight against Arky State. Florida is still down compared to their usual. Georgia is the big deal. However, they usually have a stumble game. Plus, they didn't look dominant today against a bad Vandy team. They are extremely one dimensional, but it is the best one dimension in the country (which doesn't match up with our weakness.) Auburn looked very poor today and should have lost, but that doesn't mean they cannot and will not improve. So, it is not impossible for us to win the East, but we have to learn to play a complete game before we can consider even competing for our side of the SEC.

Problem is, no one knows how good/bad anyone is right now. South carolina may crash and burn if they can't find a QB as I don't expect Orth to be so studly the rest of the year.

IF, and it's a BIG IF, the guys win the next 2 at home, THEN I think this question can be asked, but, until then, it's WAY too early. Even with a 4-0 start, there are still plenty of tough games left...UGA, UT, @ MSU, AUB (even if they looked underwhelming today, they have several weeks for the QB to get his rhythm)

Guys and gals, we've been stacking away some serious talent the last couple of years. It is only a matter of time until we pull a Kool Aid man and break through that SEC brick wall.

We have an outside shot. Uga and iT are good. If our offense keeps progressing and gets consistant.....danger danger

UT is an unknown right now, you could put SC's best players and ULL's best players together and I bet they couldn't beat Oklahoma.

UGA and UT will be very tough. I like our chances elsewhere though..

I think this is right, but the schedule is pretty grueling and always will be. There are a whole bunch of brick walls lined up after each one.

Without reading any other comments ill reply. Will we go undefeated in the league? No. So we will need other teams to lose. We have to beat vandy. Thats 2 wins. Id say we also have to beat florida and missouri. That is 4 wins. Id also say we have to beat miss state. That is 5 sec wins. We could afford to lose to auburn from the west if we beat either georgia or Tennessee. Its a tall order but essentially we could only afford 2 sec losses to have a shot in my opinion

Please stop taking the bait from this troll. It's pathetic the mods don't ban him. He's been trolling for years. You're all falling for it by replying.

Very tall order this year. I'd be extremely happy winning all but UGA, UT and Auburn this year.

Which troll? There seem to be quite a few?

No I do not think we win our division because our best talent is too young and we aren't consistent . Our qb is inconsistent , play calling is great and then poor . All of that is not the marks of a division winner in this league and that's just giving an honest evaluation . I really like the direction we're headed and if things continue we will get there in a few years .

I still say 6-7 wins...if the offence gets there second half ironed out we might have a shot at 8...but the important thing is get to a bowl game, then you get extra practice and a boost in recruiting..

Its a valid question because I believe UK beats UF and moves to 3-0, 2-0 in SEC.
If your going to dream, why not dream big?

i just looked up the SEC standings over the past several years. 2011-2014 the SEC EAST winner went 7-1. in 2010 South Carolina won the division with a 5-3 record. Id say we need a year like 2010 where the winner had 3 losses and 2nd place at 4 losses.

It's looking good for a bowl if we can get one more win other than the 2 gimmes and Vandy.

Let's learn to walk before wanting to run.

didn't watch Missouri but their score looked like they must have been pretty flat against a weak opponent.
Catching MSU out of the West really gives us an edge over just about everyone else.

We have the horses to run the East race this year, and as of right now we are in first place. Let's just keep backing our team as the fight to stay there.

Im not sleeping on mizzou, they pull this same crap every year and always seem to end up the East winner

OP is definitely trolling. No we aren't winning the east. That's Georgia's to lose, but I am liking our chances against Florida, and I don't think a third place finish and 7-8 wins is out of the question. That would put us in a nice bowl game.
Look, we just won a crucial road game. We have 8 home games this year. No I don't expect us to win them all, but I'm hoping the days of us losing games we aren't supposed to are over and we are more in the mode of sneaking wins against teams we aren't supposed to beat, (Missouri, Florida, Miss. St.).

Somebody mentioned us stockpiling talent. While we have stepped up our game significantly in recruiting, we are still 2-3 classes away from having that across the board type depth and continuity that will allow us to break that ceiling. But what really keeps my enthusiasm up is knowing that most all of those guys out there making all the big plays will be back next year and beyond. If we pull together a 7-8 win season this year, we will be cracking the top 25 next year.

At this point I think we have a great shot to beat Florida, Missouri, and Vandy. I would bet we lose one of those 3 but will win one of UT, UGA, Auburn, and Miss St.. If we somehow win all three of the ones we have a good shot at plus pull a bigger upset vs one of the others, we have a chance to win the east, even without the best team. We need the west to beat up on UGA and UT.

While UK has indeed improved steadily under Coach Stoops I don't think this is your year to win the East. I do think you guys will win between 6-8 games and play in a bowl game my best guess is the Liberty Bowl but at this point who knows.
