Can Stoops elevate this program higher than what Brooks did?

It definitely remains to be seen, but Stoops is the most exciting coach UK has had in my lifetime. I think hiring a guy like Stoops, with no coaching experience, is a high-risk, high-reward gamble. So far it's paid off and I expect him to succeed, but I'm not sure what the ceiling is. I guess we will find out in the next 3 years.

I may be too optimistic about this... But I believe his ceiling is being one of the top 10-15 teams in the nation on a regular basis.. This guy is good. If the football gods ever decide to give UK a break and we end up pulling together a 8 win year or something in the next couple years, recruiting will explode. Everyone likes stoops, he hires good coaches and better recruiters. Main thing I see is Stoops is unbelievably smart. He thought of a plan from scratch, or with the help of his brothers, it's a very strict plan and he will follow it to a tee. Again I may be too optimistic but I believe Stoops and his whole family are some of the better football minds in the business. Not saying we have saban but we have a special coach and a good staff.
