Chandler was the real deal and just completed the 2 year mission. He is returning? Are there rules on this and would someone involved in the religion to that degree come to Lexington?

Remains to be seen, This is the kind of kid perfect for Pope's system. Hoping we reach out.

Better hope so, but idk if he will leave Mormon country or not. He has been on a mission trip for the church for two years. Utah is looking like a strong contender right now.

Most BYU basketball players in this generation don’t really do the mission trip anymore. That’s basketball culture now, like the amount of work you gotta do to get noticed for D1 can be crazy, so to take 2 years off during your come up just isn’t common now. And in that same time, BYU has become a higher profile program, meaning more players that came there just to play basketball. So it’s shouldn’t be hard to see what this says about Chandler. It tells me he wants to be at BYU no matter who is coaching there, and in the carousel, this is a Big 12 job opening up. Who does BYU go and get? They’ll want to move fast and retain Chandler. Would be nice to bring him in, I’m thinking about how good he’ll probably be as a very mature Jr/Sr guard. But doesn’t seem likely.
