Can everyone who has negative thoughts about recruiting please wait to express their concerns until after signing day. I may be crazy, and maybe it is just me, but I do believe all the whining and crying on these boards has affected and will continue to affect our recruiting on our 2015 class. I have some questions and comments I would like to share too, but it is unfair to our present commitments, our team and our coaches to hammer them at this critical time. Let's be who we are and support the Big Blue Nation to the end!

Go Big Blue!

There was no criticism or feeling of gloom before all the kids de-committed and they still did so why do you think, fans acting like fans, will cause a "disruption in the force"?

Just guessing, but I think he believes possible recruits and their parents may check out these boards. I know for a fact that he's right. :) I haven't talked to any recently, but one current player's dad emailed me and I know he's on here somewhere. ;-)

It was the HC and the Recruiting Coordinator who said or implied things were on track and they'd finish strong or words to that effect. Certainly gave that impression.

It's a little much to expect fans not to be concerned and disappointed with the brutal turn recruiting has taken.

Here is how i see it. Brooks did a great job of coaching in 07-08 and won enough games to go bowling. Then joker happened how it did. (enough on that.) Stoops came in and started recruiting better in his first year, and his second class was very very very good by UK standards. Those two classes by themself should get them to a bowl game starting this year. If this staff can coach how they need to to be successful they should be able to win 6 games.

This year's recruiting class in not that bad as some like to make it sound. The twin's decommiting hurts, but riley, stowbridge, are not players that can't be replaced.. Now we don't have numbers in this class, but the guy's coming are pretty good players and in year's past we would have been very happy with a class like this even if we would have 4-5 2* along with all these 5.7 3* and hopefully 3- 4*...

Again let me remind you that at this point we have 2-4* and 8- 5.7 3*.. Thats 11 players that should be sec quality players.Lewis would make it 12. Now i believe some of the others will be very good players but i'm happy with the class we have right now, with us losing 6 games in a row at the end of the season...

Well I know one thing....the less you post, the better it is not only for UK fans in general, but for UK Athletics, recruiting and the human race as well.

Have to pretty much agree with this. Not being a smart ass but the coaches are going to say things are on track and they'll finish strong even if they've got a terrible recruiting class. They're not going to say that things are going poorly and signing day is going to be terrible. I don't like the recent trend but I'll reserve judgment until after Thursday.

Im not an extremist on the negative side and you can look at my post history to prove that. I am a realist about it and for you to not be concerned is just burying your head in the sand.

This thread is a lot like the ones where people get called out for not being "real fans" if they say anything, in the least bit way, negative. I assume the Seahawk fans are not "real fans" today because they don't understand the reasoning for not running the ball for 2 yards?

There is legit criticism at times and there is legit reason to be upset about things. To deny this is just trying to divide the fan base. We can all be fans and, at the same time, disagree on small issues.

It's time for fans to get over the hype regarding kids star ratings and go with the coaches. They know who they want, and as a fan I would much rather have athletes who want to be here than those who pretend.

So are you really trying to tell us that all these kids that decommitted were not wanted by this staff?? If that's the case why take the commitment in the first place?

I'm not sure what you're saying. Are you saying that our coaches have only found 15 players in the United States that they want, or that they should just take any 25 players that want to play for UK?

I think that any kid can go where he wants and change his mind by the deadline and its that athletes decision. I think if you are a UK fan you just want the team to be competitive and win some damn SEC games. We dont have to be the best team in the SEC just not lose to Florida, Tennessee, and other schools for 25 plus years in a row. So when we lose a potential good recruit fans get disappointed but it doesn't mean they are haters or not supportive of UK football. We all just need to hope that Stoops can develop players, coach them up, get them playing good ball by the time the are sophomores and juniors. To me this is the ultimate question and why I wish we had a veteran coach, time will tell. GO BIG BLUE>
