Cameron Mills with one of the stupidest remarks in history

Just said on the radio that as a player the Louisville game was no different than any other.
Isn’t more important than Colgate.

Very stupid!

Twinkies done went to his brain.
I’m his defense, all that matters to him is Jesus. That’s the first 99%. Everything else is in the last 1% so comparatively it’s all the same.

I have no problem with this. I’d rather players not needing extra motivation to go all in every game
Great thought/principle.

As it stands, they do seem to have a motivation issue. So let's motivate them.

Michael Jordan talked about always finding ways to get and stay pissed off. If the GOAT needed to find extra motivation, I'll forgive these guys for needing it.

Hilarious that the Kentucky Basketball Twitter account just released that hype video full of former players saying how different and important this game was.

It's hog wash to say this game isn't different. It's been different my entire lifetime. Players from both sides have always wanted this one more.

It's a nice, almost idealistic, thought that all games matter equally. That's just not reality. We like for coaches and players to say that. People care more about their rivals and big opponents. That's just human nature, and life.

When I played ball we had teams several that played into the playoffs. Bryan Station Rival Henry Clay was the biggest game on the schedule each year. I played 4 years at Station. We went 2 and 2 against HC. One year they won state undefeated. We have high level players like dawson, Logan, Burbage, Sykes and so forth. Some guys treated every game the same, they got up for everyone. Did not matter. Others were so Hyped it hurt their play, me included at least 1 game. So I can see what Mills is saying. Some guys do not get hyped for 1 team over another. That is healthy. No biggie.

He’s the most unlikeable ex wildcat there is. A absolute hot air machine hell I like weirdo Rex better than him

For a series that is 39-17, it is certainly in-state but you have to be rivaled before i consider it a rivalry.

I was in and out of he and Buzz's show. I thought he was saying it in the context of either this game or a Natty. He said some UL fans said that to him and that their thought was foreign to him. He could've said what you said before I heard it.

He said what I said comparing it to Colgate then defended when Buzz basically said he was nuts.

I think he means that you should ALWAYS prepare as if every game is the biggest game of the season.

As a player or coach, treating certain games different than others, sets you up for let downs.
I agree completely
I’d also like to hear the whole statement

Maybe it was just another game to him. Some people just realize it's a game and not some life and death experience.
It’s called a rivalry. Definitely not life and death but for the fans it’s more important than most. As a Ky kid you would think he was smart enough to know that. But then again you consider the source.

I mean it’s always been more for the fans. You expect these guys to understand after being in Lexington for a few months? I get it. For someone who grew up in Kentucky, it’s definitely not just another game.

Pope brought the entire team to the post game to celebrate with the fans.
Captain of NC team knows it’s different.
Scrub that hit a shot against Duke says it’s not.

I’m glad the captain is coaching our team and not the scrub!

If you ever played sports at a high level you know there's always a little more "juice" going when playing against a bitter rival.
