The best PG in the SEC just lit up Duke for 18 pts, 6 ast, 4 rb, and ZERO turnovers. Played stifling defense against Duke's guards, too. Mike Krzyzewski was all about him in the postgame press conference.
Are you saying Murray is a point guard?

You accidentally erased the last 3 words of that post- "not at UK".
You might want to fix that, especially on this board.
With 15 assists in his first 3 games, close enough. Are you saying Murray is a point guard?
Oh, you didn't forget. No need to fix that.
I think Baldwin will be drafted above Ulis and will be a better NBA player than Ulis.
As for Murray, I'm not sure I would call him a point guard, but he's really really good. Fun to watch that guy play.
Ditto. I have no problem with Ky kids that have gone to Vandy. He was a UT commit early. I'm just glad he didn't be a Vol.
Oh, you didn't forget.
That's actually kind of sad, then.
Your team's OOC schedule is pretty much a steaming pile, but there are 2 chances for you guys to show something- against Baylor and Purdue. Win at least one of those (please- somebody from the SEC has to do SOMETHING in Nov/Dec), and if you lose the other, at least keep it reasonably close. Then come back to the big boy board and talk.
How is it sad exactly?
Ulis is a stud, but I'm struggling to understand how you think he is leaps and bounds better than Wade Baldwin IV?
Baldwin had 18 in the second half last night, he's pretty good.
Oh come onHow is it sad exactly?

I'm from Beaver,, lol..He had two points tonight against Stony Brook. I was born in Knott County (Betsy Troublesome Creek).
You do know the 18, 6, 4 and 0 line was for Ulis and not Murray? Right.
Oh come on. You're a Vandy fan. You probably went there. I assumed that meant you had a functioning brain, but maybe I'm wrong.
You're on a UK board. UK has 1 guy who's very possibly going to be a top 5 pick- AS A POINT GUARD- another guy who was the #1 rated POINT GUARD in the 2015 recruiting class, and another guy who's preseason first team All-SEC, as a POINT GUARD. UK is #2 (or 1) in the country, and just beat a top 5 team pretty convincingly.
Do you really think you can come on here and claim that Wade Baldwin (nice player, admittedly) is better than any PG UK has without being challenged on that? Especially coming on the heels of a Vandy OT win over Stony Brook?
Jeeeeesh. I was mainly having fun with it, but if you really want to take this seriously, go buy a clue.
Murray can be a pg as that's what he's projected to be picked as in the NBA.. He played pg a lot in high school and the pan am games.. He's already had near a triple double.. In 3 games so far he's averaging 5 assist per game.. Going back to preseason,, he's gotten 9 in one game and 8 in another..Are you saying Murray is a point guard?

You didn't say "in the conversation". you said "is the best pg in the sec" which is a bold faced lie.
Of course you would take him. As if you had a choice...It's not a lie at all.
I would take WB4 over Ulis, but would be tickled pink with either.
Now Murray is interesting. Is he gonna play point at the next level? Seems like a combo 2 to me.

I don't mind Vandy puffing its' chest a little as long as they beat somebody in the out of conference. It's embarrassing only having two teams in the top 25.
Hopefully, we win the Maui Invitational that begins on Monday.
Best of luck. I hope you all win it... I really mean it!
But earlier, I pointed out Ulis' stats in the Duke game, not Murray's. And last night, Ulis put up 21. He's the real deal.
Good luck in Maui.. Everyone here in Knott are converted Vandy fans for the next 4 years,, except when playing UK..Hopefully, we win the Maui Invitational that begins on Monday.

Ulis is the best point guard in the entire country so to say he's better than the vandy guy is not really a diss for the Vandy point guard. I'm sure Baldin or whatever his name is will be a decent player this year, but to think he's better than Ulis? Do you even watch Kentucky play basketball? Ulis is up there with the greats at PG that Cal has recruited and coached. We're talking talents like Rose, Wall and Knight. The elite of the elite that are now lightening up the NBA. If you're from Vandy, you're smarter than this and it's not hard to figure out how talented Ulis is at leading a team.
I don't think that is even close to true that Ulis is in the same conversation with Wall or Rose. Knight maybe, but no way on the other two.
I do think Ulis is really really good, just lacks the size to effect the game like Wall and Rose do.
He started that Euro step around his Sr year.. Could have been earlier but I don't remember it.. I'd assume Elisha Justice helped him with it as he helped him in practice most of his Sr year.. Wait til he gets used to the college game and gets hot.. Anything he throws up goes in..The fact that Cam Justice is in the rotation this early is just extremely impressive. I heard Stallings say Justice is a John Jenkins level shooter. That is amazing praise. He also showed a pretty sick Euro Step earlier this week on a fast break.
Vandy fans are very excited to have him for the next four years.
Few things get the UK fans more excited than a white kid from the mountains, will put the o/u at 100 Cameron Justice threads on Rafters during his 4 year career at Vandy.
Very rarely does a kid from here make it to any D1 school,, especially a high D1 as Vandy.. Damn straight we're proud of these kids that do make it.. And play in the rotation their freshman ..Let it go, no use knocking a KY kid just because people are glad he did well.

I hope you know that was my point.
You sure about that. Elisha was head coach at JBS last year. Given the bad blood between KCC and ALC/JBS that seems a little far fetched. He started that Euro step around his Sr year.. 100% positive.. Cam and Elisha became good friends and Elisha helped him on transitioning to the college level,, which looks like it worked..You sure about that. Elisha was head coach at JBS last year. Given the bad blood between KCC and ALC/JBS that seems a little far fetched.

I worked for the county last year,, BBs brother Larry was my boss and he was the one that told me about it..If you say so. Just seemed very odd scenario.
