Why anyone would expect him to not schedule any other visits is beyond me.
What!!!!!!!!!!!!! He didn't commit?Cal must think we still have a great shot with Knox or he would have offered and Johnson would have announced for UK before leaving. I like them both!!!
I don't know how that works but I cant imagine him deciding without even looking at the other campuses. When recruits initially enter college I think they get so many paid visits but does that happen in a situation like Cam is in? That would sure make me frugal with my visits...jmuo

No . Johnson has an offer and has had one for a bit. He is going to take all his visits and I believe see how things play out . KNox is not coming here . He will be at Duke I suspect.Cal must think we still have a great shot with Knox or he would have offered and Johnson would have announced for UK before leaving. I like them both!!!
Pretty much this. No reason not to explore all of your options. Here's to hoping he is a Cat.No . Johnson has an offer and has had one for a bit. He is going to take all his visits and I believe see how things play out . KNox is not coming here . He will be at Duke I suspect.
This may be your first non homer post. Well done.I think the next recruit ( And I am putting Diallo in that category) we will hear about is Bamba. I think Diallo and Johnson are about a month away from deciding . Bet we get one but not both . If diallo does stay in draft we add Johnson if he doesn't we don't. Just my guess though.

This.I just hope Matt Jones is wrong that UK may be holding out for Knox before they take Johnson. It could send him elsewhere.
If he is smart and knows he is going to pick KY, he should do an official visit to Pepperdine, hard to beat Malibu for a nice college visit.
My top-5 would include Hawaii, Chaminade, BYU-H.If he is smart and knows he is going to pick KY, he should do an official visit to Pepperdine, hard to beat Malibu for a nice college visit.

I agree I don't think he comes to UK.I just do not see Knox being at UK. He has ACC written all over him.
If I was a 5* and was able to take 5 visits I'd visit UK (secretly post date a LOI to Coach Cal), then go visit Hawaii (no explanation necessary), UNLV (what happens in Vegas,, well you know), UCLA (Cali got some hot babes ya know) and Vermont (I've heard the foliage in New England is gorgeous in the fall). But that's me.....
Cal has already offered Johnson.Cal must think we still have a great shot with Knox or he would have offered and Johnson would have announced for UK before leaving. I like them both!!!

I did not say Duke I said ACC. Go to bed jr.Any you say that because??? Tell us when a recruit has Duke written all over them. This should be good.

Agree. Johnson may very well choose Kentucky. But in the end, it ought to be an informed decision. That really goes for all of these kids. A big reason there are so many decommits these days is because young players get amped up after a campus visit and then say something impulsively. The smarter guys are more careful, and Johnson has been through this before. No reason not to explore all of your options.
Cam is a 5* in the current grad transfer class. Top 3 if not #1. Will make just as much or more of an impact as more than half of the 5* FR.
If you think about it that way, he is DEFINITELY a "5*" in terms of his recruitment.
Many kids with mediocre high school star ratings have gone on to become excellent players in college. Cam Johnson has a P5 track record now, so it doesn't matter how many stars he was given by a website several years ago. If Johnson comes to Kentucky, his role next year will depend on whether Diallo comes back, how quickly SGA develops, and whether Vanderbilt is healthy. The ideal starting lineup is probably Green, Diallo, Vanderbilt, Washington, Bamba. But 1 of those players isn't committed, 1 got hurt in a recent all star game, and another is presently trying out for the NBA draft without an agent. There are so many moving parts right now that nobody's role (maybe except Green's) is clear yet.Maybe so, but he was a two star coming out of high school.
IMHO he will be a role player if he becomes a Cat.
Other recruits have. Hell, Smith cancelled his visit to UK and then committed to Illinois.I don't know how that works but I cant imagine him deciding without even looking at the other campuses.
Cam decided a while ago that he will not commit until the end of the semester.
He will be at Kentucky unless something unbelievable happened. 95% or higher.
All in my completely worthless opinion as always.
