If already posted I apologize but a really good grad transfer has just opened up from Pitt. He would have been Pitt's returning leading scorer and a very good shooter. This is not a poaching from mid-major situation Cal is against. This is a player leaving after a year of Stallings, Cal would consider it merciful.

Man this kid would be a perfect fit it seems for UK needs to add. A big experienced guard who can shoot

immediately eligible with 2 years left--like getting a JUCO, except he's already been a double figure scorer in the acc

block and steal #s don't suggest he's especially active on that end, but 2.3 apg with only 1.2 turns

obviously not looking to get closer to home, since he's from where the pgh airport is

already sniffing around mark smith and the former cal commit--this would make a lot of sense

If he wants to get to the NBA, he will come to UK if Cal offers. Perfect place to refine his game in 1-2 years.

It will be interesting to see if Cal is interested. He sure is interested in picking up another guard. GO CATS!!

Academics looks to be pretty important to him. We may not offer a program he is interested in. That likely plays a role in his recruitment.

Mitchell will go Pro and Dirty Ricky and the Cards will go for Johnson.

Hey Katrina, Get the girls ready!

Forgot too add.. it sucks we are not playing tonight..Elite 8 losses are brutal.

This would be a great addition if we are interested. Could be a SG or a SF for us and we have plenty of pt for him here.

That's an interesting nugget of info....this will def be one to keep an eye on

12 ppg, 5 rpg, and 42% from three. Two years left. Played 33 minutes/game. Probably would be good for 6-8ppg or so in the UK rotation, and would obviously help in forcing opponents to stay honest next year when they pack it in.

Well if I had to pick a perfect realistic scenario IMO, it would be us getting Bamba, Johnson, and Smith. We'd have a game changer on D and 2 more guards that add consistency for at least 2 years.

Sounds good..Smith & Johnson are good shooters.

Smith & Wesson are good shooters and are good for defense also.
(Are they available/)

This is exactly the kinda guy I'd love to get. RS JR. Would be a senior on the traditional path. Tall and can shoot with some athleticism. You don't get a lot of guys here that aren't learning how to play at this level, so he would be a welcome addition.

The question is, what's his role here? Does he start or come off the bench? And if he's coming off the bench--does he accept that role--knowing he can go a lot of places and start?

U think he starts ahead of Diallo? or Vando?

Probably not, but I didn't think Willis would start over Gabriel/SKJ.

He's got experience in the college game, and sometimes kids surprise us with difficulties adjusting to college basketball.

But in my post, I wasn't intending to say he would for sure start. Moreso, if he doesn't, is he ok with that? You're talking about a guy who has started at a major university in a power 5 conference. He can go a lot of places and start. And he may want that.

Every year fans wring their hands about stuff (myself included) and Cal delivers. He recognizes the strengths and weaknesses of this roster better than any of us.

He knows we need shooters. We just need to set back and what he can do to address it. His options range from homeruns (Knox) to triples, doubles, or sacrifice flys. Somewhere in between would be fine.

Sounds about right.......speaking of Gabe and SKJ......if they return,
I would rather have a PG with experience than a big 2G.
Not meant to belittle Shai , but 2 FRs (only) at PG is not so comfortable.
