It's the 5th game. Even our returnees are young. Freshman being inexperienced is something every Kentucky fan should be able to deal with by now. Nothing new. You want the new and best recruits, year in and year out.. then this is what you have to deal with early on. I'd rather take exceptional, sometimes raw talent, than experienced players that have already peaked. Pretty sure the W/L column and banners agree.

It's the next level of basketball and it's going to take adjusting and time. The players are in a new system, with new teammates, new rules, better competition. But this is also a whole new team for Coach Cal and the staff. There is absolutely NO reason to panic over missed FT's, Our 3-pt average, when offense sputters at time or we have lapses on defense. It's November...

The ONLY things to cause concern are poor body language, bad attitude or a sever lack of hustle. And we've seen none of that. Matthews is a motor, Briscoe is committing on D, Alex is realizing his potential, Lee is getting feisty. And the rest of the team is right there with them. I'm not sure what more you could want 2-weeks in from a bunch of 18 and 19-year olds.

We'll be fine. We're going to have off nights. Calm down. Enjoy the ride.

I don't think most are panicking, but it might seem that way if you look at the thread list. Truth is we've got a few posters who act like UK fans, but even after a 20 point win will start multiple threads nitpicking any little scrap they can find. It's easy to pick them out for future reference. Game thread is full of emotional posts, so I don't pay much attention to it.

I'm with ya. I remember John wall and co. There were highs and lows. We won by 20 tonight just playing in the paint. If we were on from outside it would have been 35 points

It doesn't matter how teams look this time of year, all that matters is wins and losses so you don't screw up your seeding in March.

I agree. We're just making observations about the team and where we need to improve. Is there anything wrong with that?
