Its Kansas' turn to be humbled over the next few seasons. UK and UNC have gone through some of that. Duke will eventually get it too once Scheyer loses that Coach K aura that is still lingering around him.

If we make the tourney and keep the wins lead i’m honestly satisfied with that in popes first season with a patchwork roster.

Yes at various points in the season i thought it looked like we were going to do much better. Lots of huge wins. But i’m trying to remember, the circumstances. patchwork roster. short recruiting cycle. tons of injuries. and pope is not a finished product.

But damn what could have been…

Maybe we can do some damage in march. I’ll be honest though, even healthy this team had first round loss written all over it. It’s okay though. As long as we move in the right direction from season to season over the next few. I’ll expect and hope for something closer to what we would call a dominant season…sometime in his first 4 years before i’ve fully bought in. And then he’ll have to prove he can sustain us as a perennial power house. That’s the goal right?
