Self is notorious for not negatively recruiting. Like UK and Cal, he doesn't have to. The guys stooping to that level are those second tier coaches and schools who have the equivalent of little man syndrome compared to the blue bloods.

Howard at Kansas and Capel at duke are the two main culprits when it comes to negative recruiting against Kentucky. I know cal said he wouldn't negative recruit but he could really devastate both those schools recruiting by doing it.

100% true! This is absolutely true but their fan bases live in some delusion like they don't do that. The Barrett's even complimented Cal & UK staff after their visit because Cal never mentioned anything about any other program. Only talks about what UK can do!

I think Calipari at U.K. is clean as a whistle. It's U.K. Blue Blood through and through.

Self with Jaylen Brown and Coach K with Bolden. The recruits are coming back to the media/Cal and telling what was told to them.

The articles are there, just never made much traction (no one is going to shed a tear for Cal, like it or not).. once you read them, there's no way you can't come to the conclusion that "yep, negative recruiting being ordered down through the ranks of these programs"..

Don't know how much truth there is to this, but just this morning, Perrin Johnson stated that it was well known that Jaylen Brown wanted to play for an African-American coach, thus choosing Cal and Cuonzo.
