In his presser , Calipari said that he worked on the press, 1-3-1 zone, box and one , and other stuff!!!

He also said Kentucky always going to be special on his heart, he gave his heart and soul for 15 years but now is focused on Arkansas.

He talked nicely about Pope and Kentucky.

They had extra time to prepare for us. Hopefully, we will jump early on them and give them no hope.

Go Cats!

I’m not watching it, but did he say Ark practiced playing a 1-3-1 zone or how to go against it? I’ll pray that he actually zones us lol

Coach Mark Pope press conference pre -Arkansas.

He talked nicely about Calipari calling him one of his mentors and how he was identified with biggest basketball program in last 15 years.

He touched on how special is to play in Rupp Arena , and even tried to give the explain the experience from the opponents point of view.

He tried to defuse the pressure of the game saying that Kentucky you are judged by the last game and they try to the approach that next game is the most important game.

Butler still not cleared to practice.

I’m going to say Cal worked on his team and if they play their game they should be fine. It’s about the Process. I bet Cal doesn’t know we shoot the 3…

I am assuming he practice against 1-3-1 since he anticipating we might be playing 1-3-1.

Hogs are good defensively and Cal will try to make it a rock fight. If Butler can’t play the offense may struggle in the half-court

I appreciate him being classy there. He's been cool with us and rather quite a bit more humble, it seems to me, since he left UK. I cannot, I simply CANNOT understand what it is about his ego and the hubris he has as to why he couldn't or wouldn't ease off the criticism of the fans and the quips he made in the past 5 years. HIs attitude just rubbed me the wrong way, pretty much from day one, and from time to time, even the swaggy Cal, hey, I didn't think we needed that from him.

All we wanted from him was him was continued success, even in the face of the past 5 years of failure. A little humbleness and humility and accepting of some of the blame himself would have gone a LONG way towards me personally, being easier going on him.

But he doubled down, remained hard headed and refused to budge. At least he left and it was the right thing to do. I wouldn't want to stay somewhere here I wasn't welcomed.

I'd still love to surprise him for him to come back to Kentucky and hear cheers. It would be totally an awesome thing, and would blow up the talking heads and haters across the country if we would be that way. What are they going to say if we cheer him ? "Kentucky fans are classless, hateful, and bitter and haven't moved on?" It would TOTALLY blow up the narrative they have had since Cal left.

Show some class and beat the Hogs !

Go Big Blue !

Ego will drive a man. Cal was always focused to beat Louisville because he wanted to be the King of the State over Pitino. He'll be the same Saturday. He wants to "show" us. It's why I don't get the kumbaya BS. If we were 100% I think we would run them out of the building because I think Pope is going to coach circles around him but with us shorthanded and the kumbaya attitude the past few days, I'm starting to get a little nervous that Rupp isn't going to be thumping like it should.

I'd almost rather he not play. They'll funnel him into the paint and he'll have his scalp ripped off from all the blocks. Thiero and Z will smoke him.

We need to play the same scheme defensively against the Hogs that we did against UT. Make them shoot threes. Also, Arky is good defensively but they aren't as good as UT is and we basically go whatever we wanted on offense against the Vols. We just need to do the same things.

Worked on but unlikely to implement....
So now he doesn't "worry about what we do" ?

He looks a little haggard to me. Pale, thin. He surely looks like he lost weight. Must be under a lot of stress. I hope he's not sick.
