Cal still can’t coach close games.

SO Cal MADE UGO foul ? He is one powerful man, I have to give it to him. To be able to control a 7 foot / 250 pound human while he is out on the court and he is on the sidelines. Amazing abilities Cal has. Maybe he can MAKE a player hit shots, we will NEVER lose if he can adopt those powers along with making players foul.
Sounds stupid doesn't it ? Just like your post, just not as bad as your belief Cal MADE UGO foul. Hell, he probably MADE Hubbard hit all of those 3's to, damn Cal is out to get us.
This is SUCH a poor argument. You do realize that most successful coaches make smarter decisions that end up choking out teams rather than letting them keep it close, right? Smart coaches double a shooter that's absolutely TORCHED them for the entire game. Or they intentionally foul abysmal free throw shooters that are mistakenly left on the floor. Or they run other good shooters off the three point line. Or run zone when teams are repeatedly smoking them back door all game.

But you keep holding him up on your pedestal because we managed to hit a miracle runner to win the game that we should have put away much sooner than that by making smart plays.

I'm guessing you won't be out banging the Cal support drum when we lose in the 2nd round again this year.
Most of the top teams have not finish shed of teams and most have lost a close game

Three games alone this year where two UK was up 3 with seconds left. Every coach fouls except Cal.
Lost one and Sheppard had to hit a game winner to bail them out in the other.
Once they were down 3 with seconds left. Of course the opponent coach fouled and they lost.
1 and 2 in those games. Should've been 3-0

13 offensive rebounds given up in the game. Too much time on the clock. Give the other team extra possessions? Another couple of chances to foul someone we don't want them to foul? What if Ugo commits another stupid foul? What if Ugo gets put on the FT line?

The correct thing to do is deny Hubbard the ball. With more effort Antonio Reeves would have had a better chance preventing him getting the ball.
Lolololol. Our fastest guards couldn’t keep him from getting the ball and you want to guard him with our slowest guard in Reeves. Great thinking not.

Don't forget that turnover with 21 seconds to go. If not for that we would have never been in the position we were against msu.

Agree. I guess Cal's thinking was put a taller guy on him, but what Reeves had in heighth he lacked in speed and quickness to keep up with the guy. I certainly wouldn't have had Ugo in the game, but I don't know if you can trust Ivisic or Bradshaw either. Thiero could have been in there. You at least know he's going to fight for a rebound if it comes to that.

It doesn't change the fact that at that point you don't foul there. Under 10, sure. 12-13 seconds that's enough time for 2-3 possessions.

But you must just hate Cal. We won, be happy!

SMDH at some of these posters. Will we see them after Cal’s next rock fight loss? How quickly they forget.

It’s ok to love your program and dislike a poor coach.
