Cal should pull the team off the court

It is the typical horrid SEC road officiating.

Most years we are talented enough to overcome it.

This year, well . . .

The refs WERE the biggest factor in the game. Ulis was fouled repeatedly on his drives with no calls. The refs were total BS and should be removed from the profession.

It was bad officiating which allows the sting of this loss to subside. Time to prepare for the next game. Our players fault hard and I'm proud of them.

Isn't that the same things other sec teams say when they are the visitors in Rupp? It happens everywhere.
Yes it is. That is pretty much my point.

Officiating today was horrible, but it always is on the road in the SEC. Always.

Our conference costs itself a couple of NCAA tourney bids every year because our cellar dwellers knock off our bubble teams at home - largely due to really bad home cooking officiating.

Most years we are good enough to overcome the really bad whistle on the road. This year, it looks like we aren't.

Bobby Knight would've done it.

These are the threads that make it hard. We got beat. Our two centers, or four centers, depending on who you count, didn't even play late in the game. We got beat. Quit whining. We got beat.

I thought this was about the safety of taking the team off before the kids stormed the court? If so, I think Cal did the right thing.

Miller almost got a hand stomped when the Loosiers did it in 2011.

I'm just sick and tired of the inconsistent officials. Call it both ways. They allowed Auburn to be way more physical than we were. The BS that they were gonna emphasize freedom of movement was an absolute lie. I'm pretty sure Msu was in the bonus most of the second half the other night and Auburn spent most of the second half in the bonus as well. We didn't play very well today but some of the calls were absurd. Until something is done it will never change.

They were hitting some prayers.

When a guy had a defender in his jersey, throws it off the rafters, and banks in a three... You just chalk it up and move on.

The whole thing about complaining about the refs is absurd. We lost for the same reason we lost to UCLA, for the same reason we lost to Ohio State, and the same reason we lost yesterday... they CLEARLY wanted it more than we did. All of our players have one or two things they don't do well and their strengths do not compliment each other. So when the other team shows up then we are going to be in a dogfight because we just can't "out-talent" the other lesser teams this year. Outside of Duke, we really haven't played harder than the other team this whole year. Teams see we are vulnerable and that they have a shot so they are going full tilt at us with everything they've got.

Like us in football. If we get a chance to beat UT or Florida then we want it so bad we can taste it. Blood is in the water so teams are coming after us. It is that simple.

I agree. I noticed that about midway through the second half. Refs were not calling any of the hand checks, hip checks, slapping etc. Typical they don't call the rough stuff but then call phantom fouls on the Cats.

The refs were iffy but it was tied with under 2min left so we had our chances. Having a solid big to throw into for a guaranteed two would have been nice down the stretch.
