I’m wondering with Brooks back, how the minutes will shake out? Right now, there are too many guys at the 4 and 5 to keep everyone happy. I bet someone walks midseason or at the end of the season. Seems to always happen lately.

I hope not, unless it’s clear that person was overrated or whatever. We need stability in the worst way.
Injuries. But what do you expect we'll accomplish if we're on guy 11? I get it. Let's have 13 dudes capable of taking us to the championship... But that's just not realistic. If we're that far down the roster, it's already kind of a disaster.
I expect us to be able to practice/scrimmage without the freaking walk ons. You don’t get better in games, you get better in practice. If you are practicing against Riley Welch, how much better are you gonna get?

INJURIES!! Fine, give the 11th, 12th and 13th scholarships to the homeless. Apparently, they aren’t needed.
Because those schools don’t have 4-6 new highly rated FR coming in year after year. So a player can look and think when I’m a JR or SR I can get some quality PT. But at UK it is hard for them to think that.
Also, I wonder how many freshmen we are gonna actually take every year. Cal said in his most recent presser I believe that he doesn’t want to use the portal like he has this year. That comment through me off a bit, what you think?

He needs 2-3 true OAD studs, 2-3 multi year players returning, 2-3 multi year Freshmen, and fill in the blanks with experienced portal players.
Agree. That comment just caught me really off guard. I expect since next years class is so stacked we take a normal haul of like 5 or 6 freshmen.
Yeah. It’s such a good class, we probably get 3-4 OAD guys and 3-4 multi year guys. We’ll probably only have 2 or 3 back. Then Cal will bring in 1 or 2 really good transfers to fill out the roster. We’ll probably start at least 3 Freshmen and probably a couple of returnees/transfers.
You’re missing one type of player that absolutely would stick around. That would be the good in state players that grow up bleeding Kentucky Blue. Not only do you get guys that’ll stick it out and work hard, you get guys that’ll lay it out on the line every single time out. Not only that, but that sort of attitude and/or pride is infectious and spreads to the rest of the team.
Those type of guys are precisely the ones you bring in and develop, for continuity, if nothing else. Most of the in state players aren’t gonna give one shit whether they’re 12th or 13th man the first one or two years. Also, you need quality practice players, too. Those kind of guys are crucial at developing your team IMO.
Yeah, but you can get a guy like Hawkins, Willis or even Harrelson that start out buried on the bench, and develop into major role players in years 3 and 4.
