Cal in radio post game interview with Tom Leach...

Always seems to throw his players under the bus? Bullshit. He said in the media interview that the team still has to learn how to win and that was on him. And doesn't make adjustments? Tell me genius, what is Cal's record at UK? And I guess that record is solely based on what the team does in the first half since he doesn't make adjustments at halftime.

Yeah take what Lmd says with a grain of salt.....biggest Cal hater in BBN for some odd reason, maybe he'd prefer we go back to good ol BCG

Who did that? I heard the call but missed it when it happened.
Everyone missed it Brian. ESPN was showing the Kansas player that made the dunk go back down the court.

A Kansas player also threw a pass in earlier before he stepped out of bounds, but of course, the refs didn't see that.

The refs get caught up in the emotion of the game as we see all to often on the and one calls, thats why they called that inbounds deal like someone said above it happens every game by some team they just decided to pull the plug right then when Phog was worked into a frenzy.

Go back and watch that play. They didn't just leave him open. Murray had to pinch over into the lane to help cutoff the drive from the top of the key and I believe it was Poy or Skal was also protecting the paint. If those players hadn't made the decisions that they did, Cal would have been complaining about those players not providing help defense. If the shot had been missed, there would have been no discussion about that play. At some point, maybe Cal will discuss why he seemed to not have an answer for KU's triangle and two.

I have stopped listening to Cal's halftime and post game comments because they are never positive. He seems to always throw his players under the bus. You can run the offense and defense perfectly, but if they are the wrong ones, they won't work no matter how well they are run. If KU had continued running the same first half defense in the second half, KU would have lost. As a coach, you have to be flexible to do what it takes to win. It would be nice if we would occasionally make second half adjustments instead of continuing to do the same thing expecting a different outcome.

It would have been real nice if Cal had said his team played their butts off and so did KU and the home team pulled it out.
Cal always says to never leave the corners open. When you have a two point lead you don't double down and leave the corner open late in the game . These kids are getting better every game and the credit needs to go to the players and the coaching staff! Cal is not perfect but they won't continue to get better by babying them!

Cal was so right about teaching this team how to win. Blantantly biased officiating aside, we lost composure late.

Seldon's open 3, Skal's two weakly lost rebounds, missed FT's, late TO's.

Fix any of the above and we win. We all knew going in the refs were going to do us wrong, and we were ready. Every post on this forum ended with "if the refs let us" or something similar.

We didn't make late plays and Kansas did. We were without our best rebounder at that moment, but you still need to make "winning plays"

Perfect post game by Cal

I love coach Cal, but last time I checked this is a message board where you discuss all things relating to Kentucky basketball. We are all just fans who have a passion for our team and give our opinions

IMO Cal screwed up putting Murray on the bench and leaving Briscoe in the game to drive the lane in OT. I've heard Cal say over and over "if you can't make free throws I can't play you at the end of the game." (Paraphrasing). But that's exactly what happened Saturday.

I felt we were doomed when it went into OT due to foul trouble and fatigue. I love Briscoe and love his ability to drive the lane. But not in the final 5 mins of a close or tied game. Fouling him in that situation is the same as a turnover for us.
If feeling this way makes me a villain or something evil in some of y'all's eyes so be it.
