Unless I'm reading the post wrong they're saying that Cal is going to be coaching at UK for at the very least a few more seasons and will bring in a strong recruiting class in 2016. Just based on history Cal brings in strong recruiting classes and is going to be the head coach at Kentucky for as long as he wants to be. Not seeing the ignorance or controversy...

hard to say what oldsports is talking about unless he's pointing out that we aren't just now on Giles we've been on him for four years or that the top guard in the class Dennis Smith Jr doesn't have an offer nor does he have any interest in us. However other than that yea think it was a 99% misread. I will say this though the 2016 class is about as loaded at the top as any over the last 15 years. It's right there with 2004, 2007, and 2008. We could load up bigger than 2009 or 2011 if the cards fall right.

There are plenty of posts on here of posters worried that Cal is leaving ( see Thorne to Ilini for reference). My stance is hes NOT and Ive suggested his recent hard recruiting of the 2016 class as support to those worried. Ive not mentioned anybodys post count so I dont know WTF your even talking about there.

I agree. Nobody is talking about Cal leaving anymore and won't be until March next year. His post would only make sense if he hadn't been on here in a month.

Somebody doesn't read UK sites very often. There is either a thread or just posts about Cal leaving everywhere. It may be on RR right now where some guy said that Cal missing on recruits is because Cal was leaving for the pros.

Yea oldsports, post count is definitely not definitive around here. Some have 10,000 and are not old enough to drive.

We have went through this every year since year one with Coach Cal and possibly leaving for the NBA. I have heard fans on here say the all Cal has to say that he is not going anywhere and is staying at Kentucky! If you watched his press conference after his hall of fame introduction he said it all there. He said all the right things in the press conference. He said he loves it here at UK and waited all those years to get a job that was at a top school like UK. He loves the job, has been a great year and had a great time this year, He loves the fans, the facilities, and loves helping these young kids and their families. He said all of that on Monday of the championship game and said it other times that he is very happy here. He is now making approx. $8mil a year and that is way more than the HC are making in the NBA and with way less games in NCAA approx. 35-40 games and NBA they play approx. 100-110 including reg. season, pre-season, and if your in the playoffs. I just don't see where these experts are getting this from and we all know including Coach Cal that the Media and Experts do this just to hurt him in Recruiting!

For the love of God...this was never about post counts or me saying Cal was leaving, quiet the opposite, the recruitment of 2016 only proves that Cal ISNT Leaving. "Again, I repeat" wasnt a knock on the OP it was a continuation of my stance that Cal aint leaving and his aggressive recruiting of 2016 supports that. Is it really that hard to grasp guys?

From my reading, Cal recently went to the Boo Williams event in Hampton, Va to watch elite guard Malik Monk and forward Jayson Tatum. He recently extended an offer to one of the top PGs in 2016 Kobi Simmons and Im pretty sure Rivals #1 center in 2016 Udoka Azubuike has had an offer for awhile now. Now the OP is reporting Cal recently visited a top PF for 2016 in Harry Giles. Great! Coaches planning on leaving dont exert this kind of effort on kids who wont step on campus for 2 seasons If they (the coach) dont plan on being here when they arrive.
