Just have to assume Adou is sitting against Mizzou. And we shouldn't need him against Mizzou. Save him for at A&M if any question.
I hope he gets better, but it’s a little concerning that he is still out when they have been labeling it as day-day for 2 weeks nowJust have to assume Adou is sitting against Mizzou. And we shouldn't need him against Mizzou. Save him for at A&M if any question.
Agreed. Back spasms and back pain is horrible and usually runs into the legs. This kid is a competitor. He would play if be could. He isn’t SharpeSome jacka$$ called Sunday Morning show complaining to Pilgrim about Adou and "general soreness" of a 20 year old and how it was ridiculous he wasn't playing.
When I was 20 I hurt my back so bad I was standing at a 45 degree andle for almost 2 weeks. Backs are nothing to mess with...don't care how old he is.
" some of "This kid represents this board. Lol.
It was HerroWho here made their kid call in!?
The kid represents logic and sound reasoning. This kid represents this board. Lol.
I love how Cal didn't wish the kid a happy birthday after he questioned his coaching decision, and then went right into talking down to the kid the same way he does the media.
The fact that he compared the fan desire to see Reed Sheppard start to the same faction of the fan base that moronically wanted more minutes from Richie Farmer shows how deeply patronizing Cal can actually be.Funny how Cal supports his decision by using the draft boards as evidence for Reed not starting.
I agree 100%.The fact that he compared the fan desire to see Reed Sheppard start to the same faction of the fan base that moronically wanted more minutes from Richie Farmer shows how deeply patronizing Cal can actually be.
Let's see, Cal, we must want Reed to start because he's white and from Kentucky, just like Richie? It couldn't possibly be because he's our best NBA prospect at this point in the season and our team's best player so far this season?

Because you go with what’s working!
Normally I would side with the 'take a joke' stance. But this kinda thing comes too easily for Cal. I'm not necessarily a 'fiaaaarrr Cal' kinda guy, but he's made enough comments to/about the fans to make believe there is some genuine level of ....something, call it superiority or disdain towards the slack jawed holler bennies. I promise you that Cal likes Little House of the Prairie more than us.Good God man … take a joke.
I swear all some of your lives consist of is looking for reasons to be mad about cal. It was a joke… and it’s funny because it is partially true.
If you think there would still be the same fervor over Reed starting if he wasn't a white kid from Kentucky you're kidding yourself. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but the fanbase absolutely would not care about this as much if he were a black kid from NJ.Let's see, Cal, we must want Reed to start because he's white and from Kentucky, just like Richie?
Everything has to be racist these days. Has nothing to do with Reed pretty much leading the team, conference, and nation in a lot of statistics. No it’s racism. If you think there would still be the same fervor over Reed starting if he wasn't a white kid from Kentucky you're kidding yourself. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but the fanbase absolutely would not care about this as much if he were a black kid from NJ.
I literally said nothing about racism. In fact I specifically said there's nothing wrong with it. It's a matter of being proud of someone who shares your background or history or being able to see yourself in someone succeeding.Everything has to be racist these days. Has nothing to do with Reed pretty much leading the team, conference, and nation in a lot of statistics. No it’s racism.
And how dare fans favor a homegrown legacy player.
I get it and agree with your point about Devito. But maybe if you’d said we wouldn’t care as much if it was another white kid from NJ race wouldn’t have been a factor.I literally said nothing about racism. In fact I specifically said there's nothing wrong with it. It's a matter of being proud of someone who shares your background or history or being able to see yourself in someone succeeding.
I'm up in NJ and we just saw a similar thing happen with Tommy Devito having a few good games as the Giants QB. No one would give two craps about that normally, but he's a local Italian NJ kid, so people went crazy about it.
Why make this a racist issue? I admit I'm going to cheer on a Kentucky kid all the way and especially if they show great talent. But, I don't care one rip if they're white, black, brown or whatever. And, in this case, I've stated numerous times on this board that I love the rotation the way it is and rather not start Reed or Dillingham, for that matter. Things are working great, why mess with it. Just my take.If you think there would still be the same fervor over Reed starting if he wasn't a white kid from Kentucky you're kidding yourself. Cal is a master agitator and a lot of our fans are easy pickinsThe fact that he compared the fan desire to see Reed Sheppard start to the same faction of the fan base that moronically wanted more minutes from Richie Farmer shows how deeply patronizing Cal can actually be.

What a load of horse shit. I recall a great deal of people harboring for more PT for Theiro just last year. People upset that juzang didn’t get more PT. No one was clamoring for Reed to start the beginning of the year but no one was expecting the output he has produced. Fans like to see talented players on the court more, not less. It’s a crime RS still only getting around 25 minutes per game. He should be 30-32. You making this a racist issue is beyond comprehension. If you think there would still be the same fervor over Reed starting if he wasn't a white kid from Kentucky you're kidding yourself. Just because there's a race element to something doesn't mean it's racist. I think it's probably a matter of fact that most people in Kentucky can relate more to a white Kentucky kid than they do a black kid from Baltimore. And again, there's nothing wrong with that. You see the same thing in the black community, where they rally around a successful black athlete. That doesn't mean either situation is racist.I get it and agree with your point about Devito. But maybe if you’d said we wouldn’t care as much if it was another white kid from NJ race wouldn’t have been a factor.
not the whole boardThis kid represents this board. Lol.
Let’s not forget, we played like garbage and lost to Wilmington the one time Reed started. Why make this a racist issue? Naive and doesn’t get the joke? This kid represents this board. Lol.
I agree with you but most won’t admit what you just said, not publicly.Just because there's a race element to something doesn't mean it's racist. I'm going to again be very clear, just because something has a race element to it doesn't mean it's racist. You are both putting words in my mouth and seem to forget that I said there's nothing wrong with what I said was happening. I again point to the recent situation with Tommy Devito being so popular for the Giants because he's a local Italian kid. The city of Baltimore rallying around a local black athlete isn't racist (which is a large reason Lamar Jackson is so popular). The state of Kentucky rallying around Reed because he's a white Kentucky kid isn't racist. What a load of horse shit. I recall a great deal of people harboring for more PT for Theiro just last year. People upset that juzang didn’t get more PT. No one was clamoring for Reed to start the beginning of the year but no one was expecting the output he has produced. Good point about Dontaie. I think Jeff is a factor with older fans too. I don’t think Reed starting or Wagner being out had anything to do with the uncw loss though.Let’s not forget, we played like garbage and lost to Wilmington the one time Reed started.
As far as the race thing goes, I live in SE Kentucky and him being a white kid is important to some of the much older fans. But it’s the fact that he’s from Kentucky that makes everyone love him so much. Our fans were willing to burn the program down for Dante Allen and be sucked. But he was a local kid.
I can’t even imagine how often Cal is told how to do his job. Every time he leaves the house some yokel is giving him their advice, it really must be miserableNormally I would side with the 'take a joke' stance. But this kinda thing comes too easily for Cal.
