I think the staff put all their eggs in one basket with Wilson and I think Wilson misled the staff.

I’d be curious to see how hard we went after Cenac . “Supposedly “ it was an either/or between those two . It’s been reported for quite awhile that Wilson agreed to UK’s NIL offer . Don’t know if that was before or after Cenac committed to Houston. Poor ole Cal wanted both and lost them both, then lost his 3rd big man (Mouhamed Sylla) to Georgia Tech , lol .I think the staff put all their eggs in one basket with Wilson.
It kinda feels like it a little. I mean we got Acaden Lewis who he wanted to play with more than anyone. We led the whole time. We got extra NIL to get a strong package for him. Everything went according to the timeline and plan only to lose him to UNC after he said he took the extra time to see them play. It’s a no brainer based on that.I think the staff put all their eggs in one basket with Wilson and I think Wilson misled the staff.
How does anyone know how the leader was?Losing out on Wilson is a big blow no matter how people here try to spin it. We were the leader for a long time and and to lose him to the shit show that is UNC is a major disappointment.
I want to see Pope get a top recruit that is not from KY.
That's the story I heard tooAlways heard he wanted to commit but Tubby told him to go ahead and visit UNC first. And that same year Durant was hoping to be recruited by UK but Tubby never called
Lewis is a fine player. He’s ranked in the 30s, Wilson is #6. Massive difference.Last time I checked we beat a lot of big time schools for Lewis he even spurned UConn to come play for Pope next year! Last time I also checked he wasn’t from Kentucky and he’s a big time recruit.
Massive difference how? Is it a given that Wilson will have a bigger impact on winning CBB games next season than Lewis based on those rankings? Are the recruiting rankings even intended to be an indication of who they expect to be the best freshman player next season, or is it instead based on how they project the player’s future pro potential and relative draft position?Lewis is a fine player. He’s ranked in the 30s, Wilson is #6. Massive difference.
