BYU's NIL money

No one except Washington was ever going to get Great Osobar . He was getting everyone’s best offer and going to allow his old coach at Washington to match it . Once CMP realized this he moved on .
So, we didn't match/exceed his NIL offer from Washington.
Thanks for proving my point.

No matter what we offered ( or anyone else) he was going to Washington .
The only thing we could have done was make them spend more. Lots of other big programs wanted Osbor. But he’s at Washington. Wonder why.
Wonder why???
Thats an easy one. Best NIL offer.

their church prioritized basketball and football as a recruiting tool. Basketball is much cheaper only 15 players so expect them to throw a lot of money and influence.

Saw on Twitter Louisville expects to have 8-10 million available to build a roster next season. Haven't seen anyone on this site bring that up though.
So let me get this straight.

According to you, Kentucky is both a state that cannot afford to contribute significant NIL, but also happens to be a state that has one city in that state that can afford to contend with the best NIL packages in the nation?

Great logic.

And this is why you're a laughing stock! :)

Like I said, people that are paid to know ( our insiders) say our NIL is at least but probably north of 10 million. I would trust them over butters agenda.

IU is supposed to have 7 million counting profit sharing or whatever it is. UK will have as much if not more.
Has anyone in CBB journalism written a good explainer of how the profit sharing will work yet? If so please share it with me, because I'm still not clear. Equal pay for each player or they're still making offers to guys for more or less? And the school chooses how to divvy up the $22mil(?) between all their sports? Do schools without football have a smaller number? Could UK just decide to make the split far more basketball heavy than most schools (especially SEC schools)?

Seems to me UK should do well in actual NIL endorsements when you consider just how much the team means to people in the state. Is there anyone associated with the state that would have a higher commercial value than the star players on the UK basketball team?

The winningest college basketball program of all-time has little to no NIL money

The horse industry is the real money.

There’s millions from others ready to be spent on NIL.

But it pales in comparison to horse industry money available and there’s one man that everything must go through.

Well, it’s not a must. But you can be put on an island pretty quickly if you stray from the main channel.
How do you know the horse industry would contribute?
You saying Barnhart is keeping this from happening?
