Butler is done for and so is Kerr. They aint coming back. It is what it is. Look for Carr to get hurt again soon. If he was smart would sit out a few more games.
I agree, sadly.Butler is done for and so is Kerr. They aint coming back. It is what it is. Look for Carr to get hurt again soon. If he was smart would sit out a few more games.
Butler has been the heart and soul of the team since Day One and battled his but off every second of every game. His numbers are the best of his career in every category. The only "disappointing" aspect of his time at UK is the misfortune of the injuries he accumulated as one of the toughest warriors in the toughest conference in all of college basketball. He was maybe 40% of his former self and was hurting the team defensively and with uncharacteristic turnovers. He is doing everything possible to heal up enough to get back on the floor and contribute. Shame on you for questioning his courage after he has done nothing but to be the epitome of courageous all season.I don't even care at this point he's done and probably got paid well for the quarter of season played. Most disappointing guard since Ashton. Remember when guys would have to be dragged off the court if they were hurt.
You definitely hit the nail on the head. Since the back spasms started Carr had been a different player even when he's played. Moreover I think it has clearly impacted his perimeter shot greatly. He says he's good to go now, but I'll have to see it first before believing.Carr has been playing but is a shell of himself. We need Carr back.
What channel? YouTube or ?Pilgrim is a good source too. I didn't hear it, but I subscribe to his channel, so I'll find it.

No he's not.. Jackson has down twice as much and not complaining or sit. Carr keeps playing and back injuries are twice the pain. It's real easy to give zero and sit but yeah Butler is in a wheelchair and can't dress and give his 5 fouls for his team if needed. Sorry but I'm not a snowflake that calls out to work everytime I'm sore. Men get up and go to work because injuries are a part of life and management of that pain through everyday activities is part of life.Butler has been the heart and soul of the team since Day One and battled his but off every second of every game. Mysterious downfall for Andrew , played like a boss first 1/3 of the season . Now they say " healthy" but the dude sure doesnt play or look healthy .. VERY sad for him and the team . He can help soooo much when hes healthy .Carr has been playing but is a shell of himself. We need Carr back.
I would suggest banning this troll / non UK fan / asshat but he would just log onto another sock account ... you are the type of poster this gives this place a bad name .. UK fan or troll , whatever you are . GFY !!!!!I don't even care at this point he's done and probably got paid well for the quarter of season played. Most disappointing guard since Ashton. all Cmon Tampa , I hate Cal as much as anybody but they will theirs .. Cal will go Cal on them soon enough !Very real chance I don't really watch tonight.
Which is saying something- I haven't missed a game in YEARS, but Saturday just really took me out of it right now- hard to feel any lower and another loss might just send me over the edge. Might be better off just not watching and checking the score in the morning.
But knowing how little self-control I have, I am sure I will be parked in front of my TV, screaming all the same.
You didn't miss any games over the last 4 mediocre years of Cal's tenure but you are too frustrated to watch a team that has wins over Duke, Florida, UT, Gonzaga and Texas A&M who were all ranked and a U of L team who is ranked now? That seems odd to me.Very real chance I don't really watch tonight.

Yeah, I agree. It was a great run until injuries killed us. I will be happy with what we had and simply hope for the best going forward. Being down both point guards for the last month of the regular season is just not something any team can be prepared for. This season has the potential to serious go off the rails. We had a great run for a while, but losing both PGs and essentially losing the starting PF is way too much to overcome. Unfortunately, some will blame Pope, but how could anyone expect us to keep going the way we were without 3 key pieces.
Great reply to the asshat who must not know shit .. like nothing , butler is a warrior and was laying it all on the line , then got body slammed by Bama a few times and hasnt been the same since .. he did try to after being injured , that fool doesnt know what he's talking about .Butler has been the heart and soul of the team since Day One and battled his but off every second of every game. Yeah @Creed Bratton - thought the same. You didn't miss any games over the last 4 mediocre years of Cal's tenure but you are too frustrated to watch a team that has wins over Duke, Florida, UT, Gonzaga and Texas A&M who were all ranked and a U of L team who is ranked now? That seems odd to me.
Why would you think that? People have said he could, there's been not one single article or post saying he has.....I thought he filed for a medical redshirt
Based onnnn?Sounds like Butler is going to be out for the regular season and they are hoping to have him back for the tournaments, Fingers crossed he returns at all.
He is trying to ramp things up and come back basically
It's the KY sports radio channel on youtube. What channel? YouTube or ?
Butler couldn't lift his arm above his shoulder when he tried to come back and play.No he's not.. Jackson has down twice as much and not complaining or sit. Well, Pope is playing lineups that don’t have a chance to win against SEC competition. This season has the potential to serious go off the rails. We had a great run for a while, but losing both PGs and essentially losing the starting PF is way too much to overcome. Unfortunately, some will blame Pope, but how could anyone expect us to keep going the way we were without 3 key pieces.

That was me right after the Arkansas game when the bandaid was just ripped off.My expectations were already low the last 4 years, I didn't get as invested (still very invested, but not to this extent), so it didn't hurt as bad.
I let myself get sucked into this year, rightfully so, but facing a 4-5 record in the SEC, losing 4 of 5 games in this stretch also, getting punked by Cal in front of the whole basketball world and letting Karter freakin' Knox (who SUCKS) run around our building talking shit to our fans, only to probably go down to Ole Miss and get punked again, and be facing a double-digit seed in the SEC-Tournament.
Just hard right now to get off the mat as a fan.
Michael Scott famously said he is ready to get hurt again....I'm not sure I'm there yet.
Sorry guys....I'm just down. Feeling defeated and tired of being a 2nd or 3rd tier CBB program.
Why would you think that? People have said he could, there's been not one single article or post saying he has.....
It's a possibility. From an interview with Pope on Sea of Blue last month. Here is a copy and paste part of the interview. Didn't know how else to share it.
It doesn’t sound like Kerr may return for the regular season, being that there are only 13 games left in regular-season play and only seven weeks from the SEC tournament.
Could Kerr return for postseason play? We don’t know, but he has been making strides, as he is now out of the boot and walking around without it.
Also, is there a chance Kriisa gets a medical redshirt and plays one more season at Kentucky? If he doesn’t return this season, you have to think he’d have a great case for getting one.
One thing is for certain: Kentucky misses their energy guy on the court. Let’s hope Travis Perry and/or Collin Chandler can step up and fill the void.
The spine holds the whole thing together. As I bet you can attest, there ain't no good athletic stuff going on with back issues. I had an orthopedic surgeon in Lexington tell me once: "The back is made to last about 40 years and we're living to 80."Backs are a funny thing. I know from my past. He certainly has been nowhere near what he was.
Arguably the worst 3 pieces to lose. Butler & Carr were the team leaders early on. Kerr would be much needed right now in Butlers absence. Almost any team would be severely limited without true PGs.This season has the potential to serious go off the rails. We had a great run for a while, but losing both PGs and essentially losing the starting PF is way too much to overcome. Unfortunately, some will blame Pope, but how could anyone expect us to keep going the way we were without 3 key pieces.
Not replying to your nonsense. Calling you a troll would probably be a compliment. Why does this site not have a DISLIKE button. No he's not.. I agree. I think Butler and Carr are the scaffolding this team is built on.Arguably the worst 3 pieces to lose. Butler & Carr were the team leaders early on. Kerr would be much needed right now in Butlers absence. Almost any team would be severely limited without true PGs.
That would mean list him as Out Indefinitely not game 2 game like Carr. If the guy can't lift his arm to shoot a free throw or contest a shot then the team knows he's not coming back and could tell the fan base. Just listing him as out knowing the guy is done is what Cal did. Or how bout Butler in front of the camera say man guys I can't give much but my 5 fouls if you need it, and dress for the game.Butler couldn't lift his arm above his shoulder when he tried to come back and play.
Just because Carr can give it a go sometimes, doesn’t mean Butler is a wuss. The 2 injuries are completely different and the two players play different positions.
Also, since your shoulder can fully rotate in all directions, it is the hardest joint in the human body to heel, much more difficult than a knee.
You're being really unreasonable here. Butler isn't some Schaedon Sharpe, in fact, Butler needed to prove himself this year if he had any shot at playing at the next level. The last thing he needed, was an injury.
I think we have Cal to thank for that more than Pope.Sorry guys....I'm just down. Feeling defeated and tired of being a 2nd or 3rd tier CBB program.
Obviously. Ran it into the dirt pretty much. Hopefully Mark can recruit the players needed to get it going. If not, goodness man.I think we have Cal to thank for that more than Pope.
I think we have Cal to thank for that more than Pope.
You don't think he's resting it and doing physical therapy in the hopes to strengthen it to the point he can play? That seems more likely to me.That would mean list him as Out Indefinitely not game 2 game like Carr. If the guy can't lift his arm to shoot a free throw or contest a shot then the team knows he's not coming back and could tell the fan base. Pope has to shorten the rotation if he wants to win, IMO. Play 7 guys.Well, Pope is playing lineups that don’t have a chance to win against SEC competition.
He is doing almost a full line change before the first timeout of these games.
You can't pull Oweh, Williams and Jaxson out and put Chandler, Perry and Garrison in. That's going to get your butt beat and that's what keeps happening when he does this.
So he does deserve some critisism here. We praised him endlessly for all the great things he has done so far, but that doesn't mean we can't call it out when he makes mistakes and I'm sorry, but those line change lineups are a big mistake.
He's a beast. I thought he was a bad pickup because he couldn't shoot. And dude is shooting 40 percent from three. Prob a top 3 PG in the SEC when healthy. Damn shame.Butler has been the heart and soul of the team since Day One and battled his but off every second of every game. His numbers are the best of his career in every category. The only "disappointing" aspect of his time at UK is the misfortune of the injuries he accumulated as one of the toughest warriors in the toughest conference in all of college basketball. Huh - he tried to play on it an was hurting the team doing it .I don't even care at this point he's done and probably got paid well for the quarter of season played. Most disappointing guard since Ashton. Remember when guys would have to be dragged off the court if they were hurt.
