So many wanted to lie to themselves about the hire that speaking against it became a crime here, but here is the reality:
-Washington let him call plays for one year, then fired him.
-Eli Drinkowitz lets the guy call plays a few times at Missouri, and lets him go to Boise right after instead of making him OC (they didn't have an OC, but right when Hamden leaves, they hire an OC; Drink could have kept him and made him OC if he wanted, but didn't; what does that say?)
-Bush @ Boise State; last year would rank 8th of out of the last 10 years in PPG for a Boise State team; with one of the best RBs in the entire nation. Meaning, he didn't put up anything at all that stands out for Boise State standards. Below average offensive season, actually.
-Last week Boise State breaks records, their RB destroys the Boise State rushing records. 267yds, 6 TDs. A child could coach that offense to an average scoring year.
It was not a good hire, and that was pretty obvious. Everyone agreed at first, but everyone decided to start lieing to themselves.
