I know everyone isn't a big fan of Sauerkraut, but if you are - Bubbies brand is awesome.

Has Probiotics in it also, which is good for your gut health.

The nicer ones might in the natural/organic section. Otherwise, whole foods or the co-op.

How do you eat this crap? Put little pieces of hot dog in it?

If you like sauerkraut, try blaukraut (sweet and sour braised red cabbage).

There is a brand I've been getting from the international section at Kroger lately that is really good.

I love sauerkraut, wife doesn't like for me to cook it in the house though. I'll eat it on a sandwich, with sausage/schnitzel, or just plain.

Fermenti Artisan out of Indianapolis makes my personal favorite krauts. Their Curtido (Salvadoran-style spicy kraut) makes the best kraut dogs and reubens. Also makes a good breakfast dish with scrambled eggs, cheese, and some sausage (YMMV on that one). Not the cheaperst or easiest stuff to find, but its worth it if you see it.

You can also make your own - not particularly dificult to do - for much less money, as long as you don't mind something fermenting on the counter for a couple weeks.

I eat what they sell at Food City, don't remember name, but it's sour and it's good. I will eat it right out of the jar, great for an upset stomach.

Love kraut and wieners with soup beans. Arby's here in Paintsville used to have a sunday buffet with soup beans, kraut and wieners and little cooked potatoes, man I loved that.

My mom used to make her own kraut. In theory, it's easy, but if it's not done correctly, it will turn a dark color. She said you had to use the right water and salt.
