BS

So first Half . Duke has the ball , player is driving… The center referee blows the whistle , puts his fist up signaling a foul , correctly , cause is in his area… same time the lead referee ( end line referee) , also put his fist up so we have a double whistle….

Both referee see that , the look at each other … and here is the key… usually the one that the incident is happening signals what the foul is because is his area and you dont want to have a blarge…

but the lead referee signals block first and a fraction of second later the center referee shows player control ( offensive foul) .
Now you have double whistle and blarge ( double foul)….that means the ball goes to possession arrow…so ball to Duke… Duke scores a 3 …. What if Arizona gets the ball and scores that’s a 5 or 6 point swing..

Second half : for some infraction hold and hook, one team benefits a flagrant 1 , 2 FT and possession so that’s 4 points , and Zona didn’t.

If you look at score differential that Duke won by….you see that referee decisions influenced clearly the outcome of the game…

As a referee , I will say that’s a shame…

Before each game, refs have a meeting where they discuss different situations…including double whistle and what you supposed to do so you don’t get in Blarge ….or situation where we don’t call the game the same way…

Unless they have an off-shooting night, Bama beats them.
BYU 3 pts defense was horrible… they were standing in front of the shooter but a good step back….they did that all night…. Also , running with Bama , thinking you will outscore them big mistake,,,, Pope did that twice and we got smoked…

Talking about BYU, Sanders is a baller. I would mind him as a cat next year.

Duke is going to have the crowd, the refs , the size advantage and some mismatches in their favor. Unless something happens , I see Duke winning by double digits.

The biggest factor; (Referees)

I agree, there is absolutely no way Alabama beats dook…no way at all!

Imo the call that turned the game was towards the end of the first half. Ball cleeeeeaaaarly off duke, but duke got the ball. They score, maybe a 3, then Arizona misses, and flagg hits the buzzer beater going into half.

That was basically the game.

Could’ve been a 4-5 pt play for AZ, but instead Duke hits a 3. LMAO.

That’s a possible 7-8 point swing.

Game!!!!!!!!!

Literally called 2 different conclusions on the SAME EXACT PLAY. WOW!!!!

Everyone thought refs were afraid of K but I guess it was just the name on their chest that gets them all the calls. One thing I have noticed is the refs let them get away with lots of hand checks, grabs and holds on defense.

They called a flagrant on Arizona for the exact same thing 2 possessions before. Duke does it Arizona, and refs be like "Common foul"
Yeah they called a flagrant on Arizona, during the media timeout after they let Arizona get a free "and-1" when the play should have been blown dead for the flagrant. But that doesn't fit the narrative.

I swear it feels like the officials have convinced themselves that Duke is such an elite institution of basketball that it's rare they make mistakes, or foul, or knock a ball out out bounds, or go over the back, push etc. I'm convinced officials just give Duke the benefit of the doubt most times. Like it's basketball perfection or something. That's why I think Duke seemingly always gets good whistles.

Do you in all honesty feel like that wasn’t a hook and hold? I love UK but I would feel like we got a huge break on a call like that on us. That call without a doubt changed the game!!

Yes I believe it was a Hook and Hold. Arizona should have gotten 2 free throws (2 points)
Do you honestly believe the Arizona one was a hook and hold? Because the refs didn't blow the play dead and Arizona got an And-1 (3 points)

And the ball.

Take your three away, add possibly 2 to them plus whatever they scored. Unreal the calls you get

Zona would also got the ball back possibly scoring again. That call could have changed the whole game. The res went to the replay on the Zona h and h. Would really like to hear what the refs saw on that play. It was a HUGE call!!!

It seemed pretty weak. Beat Alabama by 20 and Flagg didn't even play well.
Well, you remind me of that guy that told me he was going to mop the floor with my face. And I told him if he did he wouldn't be very happy. When he asked why, I said because you won't be able to get in the corners very well.

Hope you lose.
