Brooks was killing it in Waco, he’s going to be dominant here.
It’s the same feeling I had with Reed when I saw he was so good right away, I just hope we have him awhile. Because he’s going to succeed.

This was the hire that ensured Mark Popes success, there wasn’t a better hire to be made on Planet Earth.

Only problem I see with this staff is it may be too good and not last long. But if Pope can bring in a staff this good in year ONE, I have no worries that he will be able to bring in suitable replacements when the time comes. I'm very impressed.
Leadership starts with surrounding yourself with other leaders. Pope is building a new foundation with dudes that can help/assist. Not become a part of the ride. I wish I could discuss bar tabs from the last regime
Let's just say Bruiser and Chin were getting it in. More drinking than working on help defense and shedding your defender on pick and rolls

I’m glad that nightmare is over. Calipari never had the right mindset for this job, and it was evident in our performance. Getting kids drafted was the only thing that ever mattered to him.
Big Blue Madness will be fun this year. Even the assistant coaches will probably get a big pop from the crowd as that will likely be the first time fans really get introduced to them.
First time I've wanted to go to BBM in a long time. Even if the format still stinks it's going to be a blast!
The new staff and roster are a much-needed breath of fresh air. Loving this.
Watching this video and Pope clapping for the fans made me wonder, did Cal ever do anything similar?
I try to give all assistants the benefit of the doubt. I’ve always felt both our head coaches in football and basketball don’t listen to anyone else so at times we have been hamstrung. I know we have had a few OC in football that are fine before or after they leave here. Sometimes you are only allowed to do what your boss will let you do. I know we were all excited bringing welsh in last year and with the offense we had it worked. Just don’t think Cal or Stoops either one are willing to give up any control even if it makes our teams better. How many times have both coaches had big leads and go to stall ball and it cost us in the second half of games?
They should move it back to midnight like the old days. Just because.
To be fair, anyone that had to deal with Cal on a daily basis would probably drink a lot as well.
If you read some game threads, it's pretty obvious he caused a lot of our fan base to drink way more too.
The sad part is he told that to our faces when he took the job in 2009 we just overlooked it because he was winning at first!!
The crazy part is they would fill up Kroger Field…. That still sounds weird saying Kroger Field even though the name has been changed for a few years.
I thought it was funny in his introduction with AR that when describing the way he does things the first thing out of his mouth was it being about the kids. And then the AR crowd started clapping. We know what he means by that but the AR fans didn't and was clapping for a complete disaster for their program. Too funny.
Just waiting to see how Ark fans feel when a stud is held out because his handlers don’t want to expose any weaknesses or an “injury” goes on for months!
Wonder how Arkansas fans will feel about it if they have a Shaedon Sharpe situation and kneeling for the anthem. He needs to think about that, there are going to be things come up that those Arkansans do not like there either. As long as he gets some of the top players, he will have to make those handlers happy or else.
