He's NOT in the portal...but there's a lot of smoke...so let's get the goods on this guy...

BIG Athlete. Stuck behind Carson Beck and in a battle with a lot of recruits at UGA. Originally committed to Lincoln Riley out of HS, so he's been looked at by the best. I think he just needs the right coach and system....he really reminds me of Will Levis in some ways...

He was a TOP 10 OVERALL RECRUIT out of HS....#8 overall player on Rivals. #2 QB in the class of 2021. This would be the most talented recruit we may have ever brought in from what they were in HS. Most talented QB prospect ever in the rankings era...probably on the level of Tim Couch. He came into a dynasty...2 OC changes...etc. Levis was a backup at Penn State. Burrow left a crowded Ohio State. Fields left a crowded UGA. Bo Nix left Auburn. Etc.

He looks raw in the 2021 clips...as he was a early enrollee. But he's big...can run...can get the ball downfield. And he's been practicing against UGA's defense for 3 years. We say Barion is an elite talent at wideout...well Brock is an elite talent at QB...this could be a combination if it clicks that is a NEXT STEP type of move.

I'm sold on him...hope he comes...

Scouting Report:
Possesses prototype physical specs at the QB spot. Good functional athlete on the field who has supported that with testing numbers early in high school career (4.69 40, 4.40 shuttle as a sophomore). Light on his feet in the pocket. Sets and resets quickly and with impressive body control. Good short-to-intermediate zip. Accuracy steadily improved over course of high school career and is reflected in completion percentages higher than 70.0 in junior and senior years. State title-winner who posted outstanding production. Clearly a pass-first QB but flashes athleticism to make plays with his legs, whether buying time or scrambling for yardage. Excels in off-schedule situations and shows encouraging ability to vary arm angles as needed. Remains accurate on the run and shows good ball placement in general. Displays the requisite vertical arm strength but can still improve velocity on deeper throws over the middle/down the seams. Occasional hitch in delivery can slightly decelerate release quickness. Dominated smaller-school competition in high school and will make significant jump to P5 level. One of the nation's top QB's in the 2021 recruiting cycle who owns a strong football pedigree as a coach's son. Should become a multi-year high-major starter with all-conference potential and a ceiling in the early rounds of the NFL Draft.
