Briscoe will show out at the nba combine.

Best case for him is some GM loved Andre Miller and hopes Briscoe can be similar. I think Briscoes ceiling is Andre Miller, which he should really hope for. Not sure that is appreciated in todays NBA though.

Briscoe would take that in a heart beat. 17 years and $100 million in the league would be great.

Exactly why I said he should really hope for that...not someone you'd hear a player aspire to be, but it'd be a good basketball career.

He should stay because UK needs guards who can't dribble or shoot? He can practice more when not in college. No practice restrictions and no classes to worry about.
UK needs guards that aren't incoming freshmen. Briscoe could have given us some much needed leadership.

He will get in tip top shape and prove the doubters wrong.I still feel he will be a late 1st rd pick.
He doesn't have a position at the next level.

1. He can't be a shooting guard because he's an atrocious shooter.

2. He can't be a point guard because he's not a great ball handler, he's not fast or quick, and isn't particularly good at making decisions.

3. He's really good at getting to the basket, but at 6'3, I'm not sure that's going to work well in the NBA.

He's a pretty good college player, and that's really a compliment, but that's about as good as it's going to get IMO.

I loved having Briscoe on our team, even if he frustrated me at times for such things as stepping on the end line numerous times. He played hard and I felt he gave UK all he had all the time. I truly wished he had come back for at least one more season and I do hope he has success at the next level. Having said all that, I am one who feels he has a very low chance to make it in the NBA with what we've seen of him the past two seasons. Much of his shortcomings for a professional career have already been mentioned above so no need to repeat. I wish him the best and hope he proves many of us wrong.

Briscoe was pressing in January - early February, but then he took a step back and became a facilitator for others, defended and rebounded for us. Gave us a chance to be great, bet he wish he had that last defensive play back vs Maye...one stop way from #9 we had them in OT.

He'll get paid to play somewhere. He's better than Andrew who's getting paid by Memphis. Just needs to drop 6-8 pounds and work on that J. Likely a late 2nd and D league path for him...not everyone is willing to go over seas for more $ and less a chance at their NBA dream.

What else were his options? Give the ball to Skal in the lane? If you didn't notice, we haven't been all that great with our post players the past two years. If Briscoe played with AD, KAT, etc. alot of those rejections would be dump offs and oops for easy buckets. He will play in the NBA. Sorry that you are such a hater.
No one guards him. They run away.

He will make the league. Question is how long will it take. Kidd and Rindo were all stars who couldn't shoot. Not saying he is that level, but his strengths are good enough. Although shorter I see him a lot like Andrew Harrison.

Lol. Briscoe is 6'3" with a 6'8" wingspan who has played out of position for two years. Guy can get into the lane anytime he wants. At the very least he can develop into defensive minded guard if his shot never develops. He's going to collect an NBA check in the future. Sorry.

I see no reason to ever put Briscoe's name in the same sentence with Kidd (10x All Star, 9X all defense, 2 gold medals, NBA champ, #2 all time assist and steals leader in NBA, 7th in 3pt makes, 3rd all time triple doubles, ROY, 35% career 3pt shooter with 1 yr at 46%, in college he was a 1st team AA) or Rondo (NBA Champ, triple double machine and great defender), even with qualifying statements.

Andrew took a lot of heat but he was a 37% shooter from 3 and 78% FT.
IB was 23% and 55%...

Both had exact same TO/Assist stats.

AH is now listed at 6'6 officially, I would be shocked if IB comes close to the 6'3.

IB was a warrior but the kid lacks skills to play in the NBA.

He didn't run pg for us very well in the limited opportunities he had.

I'm not a hater, I'm a realist and if I agreed with you, we would both look ill informed.
You truly have no idea what NBA talent is.

Andre Miller was a lottery pick and made the All-Rookie team too. He was a pretty good player for many years. Briscoe should be so lucky.

Briscoe shouldn't be in the same sentence with Andre Miller either.

Talk about basketball incompetence....

Could Briscoe grow a couple inches, grow some athleticism, and grow a jumper before the draft? Anything is possible.

I really wish those old Poythress threads were around. Geniuses here were saying he was going to work in an office. [roll]

I love AP but he basically got called up from the D League for a look in the last few games of the season.

Do you have him pencilled in to the 2018 All Star Game?

Can't shoot, below the rim guards, thicker bodies. Briscoe should watch all the Miller tape he can get and aspire to be him.

Miller was excellent, below the rim non shooter like Briscoe. Briscoe should aspire to have a career and similar game as him, but I am not sure that style is appreciated as much in today's NBA. Sadly, I think it's Briscoes best style chance to be an NBA guy.

You already look uninformed when you said Briscoe was six foot. Idiot.
Weather he's 6'0" or 6'2" doesn't matter you schmuck, he's a below the rim player. Hopefully you understand what that means. He will not be in the NBA, he has nothing that an NBA team is going to waste a pick on.
