too bad we got murray so late. but the OP makes a great point, if we get bridges and if he gets to uk in may....he will be in such great shape in a few months, could take his game to another level.

Very impressive results in a relatively short amount of time.

1948, 1949, 1951, 1958, 1978, 1996, 1998, 2012 and 2016. I believe we get number 9 with this class and Briscoe is a big reason why.

Championships are won with great guards and we have them stacked on our roster.

What's the time span here? June to September? Amazing stuff...

Exactly my first thoughts. A few of us have been hoping for Rock's departure for years. Its already paying off. This will take player development to a whole new level.

I've often thought our players seemed tired towards the end of games - even last year with the platoons. And some of them seemed a bit, oh I don't know, flabbier? towards the end of the year too.

If I'm wrong, ok - but I've wondered....

Im not sure. But....I do know his training methods were way behind the times. We didnt see the kind of physique development that we should have from such elite athletes.

His lower body (legs) doesn't look changed at all. For you body-building experts, is that typical? Or is Harris focusing more on upper body strength initially?

Calf muscles are genetic. You're either blessed with good ones or your not. He just don't have much meat around the shin area which makes his legs look smaller.

It always made me a non-fan of Wiltjer that in his entire career he has not shown any body change which suggests to me a lack of effort and commitment. Before his transfer, I had made comments about it and got a lot of flack. But, now we see a young freshman who in a couple months has made a visible transition and everyone is excited. The physical nature of the SEC combined with Cal's offense to take it to the basket makes Briscoe a player who was already talented but now will have the strength to take it to the next level.

This is what I've frequently heard too--that Rock was stuck in the early 90s and failed to change with the times and adapt his program to newer science and training methods. It was past time to get some younger blood training these kids.

It's great to see this kid is putting in the work to become better in the limited time he's been on campus. If someone like Wilter would have put in this kind of work ethic, he could have become a real threat to do something great in the NBA. With this kids game, the added muscle is going to do wonders for his game. Most thought he looked a lil chubby during the all star Games, it looks like he took care of that. I hope our entire team is putting in the same work ethic as this dude is showing.
